Food Safety Bugs in Food
Do not order from this restaurant. I ordered from SkipTheDishes and the food arrived with ants crawling in it. I reached out to SkipTheDishes and was initially unable to get a refund through them so I called the restaurant. The restaurant told me they could only do a refund if I promised to not leave negative feedback or report them to Skip. She sent me a text saying they would e-transfer the refund by 11:30pm, but when I woke up this morning there was still no refund. When I reached out she said that I had already talked to Skip and left negative feedback for them. They tried to e-transfer me $11.30 out of the $47.55 I paid them, which is less than the dish cost that had the bugs in it in the first place. It goes without saying I think that when you find bugs in one of the dishes that no one is eating the others. The entire order went in the garbage. Terrible customer service, trying to buy people off with refunds so that people don't find out about their bug problem. This place should really be inspected by AHS because I see other reviews on here saying they've found bugs in their food as well. How many people has this happened to that have just accepted the refund and not...
Read moreI was really disappointed with my experience here. The Vietnamese sub was far from authentic, and the bread was stale. The meat had an off, fishy taste that was hard to ignore. We also tried the Vietnamese noodle soup, which unfortunately tasted like an instant pho packet – from the broth to the noodles, everything was reminiscent of the low-quality instant noodles. It's disappointing because serving fresh rice noodles isn't difficult, and it's a key part of the dish. On top of that, the restaurant's environment was unclean, making it uncomfortable to dine in. My wife is not a picky eater, but after one bite, she felt nauseous. She resorted to eating instant noodles that we had in the pantry and those TASTED BETTER!! I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend this place for anyone looking for an authentic Vietnamese meal. Do not...
Read moreVery tasty Banh Mi from Kim Anh. On this order, we tried the Special KA sub, chicken satay, and beef satay.
Each sandwich was made well. The bread was toasted with a crispy skin but also fluffy and soft on the inside. The vegetables were crunchy and fresh. The meat was tender and well seasoned/marinated. The satay sandwiches did not have as much satay flavor (more so sweet and a little bit creamy) as I would have liked but I still enjoyed it. I also would have preferred a bit more pate for the special KA sub. The ratio of the meat and fixins to bread was very good.
These sandwiches are a noticeably thinner and maybe a bit shorter, and at a higher price, than some of the other places I have gone to so the value did not feel as worth it. Otherwise, overall a good experience and I would recommend giving...
