COBS Bread — Restaurant in Calgary

I used to go to this location frequently with my mom.. she loves the biscuits! I recently was at AMA and figured I would check it out. When I walked in, there was a blonde chick that didnt even acknowledge me. She basically stared at the door? Then the other chick was in my face the whole time. Asked what I wanted to order, I literally just walked in. Started to look at the bread, she asked if I wanted one, I said no I'm just going to check out what you have. Then she proceeded to stare at me the whole time I was browsing the front area. I kinda felt awkward and told her I was still trying to decide ... she said OK then walked to the back never came to the front again.. and the blonde chick was still staring out the door. Told my mom about my weird experience, and that will be the last time...

Lazy staff, not friendly at all. One person continuously asking in an annoyed way if there was anything else as she ran up the total on the till while another grabbed it. She didn’t seem to really want to be there. Asked for 3 scones, received only 2, lucky only charge for 2. Asked for pack of tarts, paid for those but did not receive. Store was not busy, no one else there. Just wanted the money. Couldn’t even be bothered to ask if we collect points just wanted the payment. Usually enjoy COBS, bad location, won’t return...

I’ve been here three times now around 10am. They consistently have cut the loaves of bread I’ve bought while still warm (once so hot that it was a bit uncomfortable to carry) causing the bread to become quite gummy and honestly not good. Please stop cutting your bread before it’s cooled, you’re ruining what would be a great product.

I’ve been here out of convenience because of being in the area, but I guess I’ll stick to my regular Cobs going...
