I rated this restaurant as 5 stars few Weeks back and my comments were as follows -

"we tried masala dosa + sambhar vada + filter coffee + masala tea. Everything was very delicious and just perfect.Sambhar and chutney was authentic tasty. The staff was very generous. We enjoyed our meal. Will surely visit next time to try other dishes."

Based on the above we expected something good and ordered via. Skip the dishes. We believe we received fried rice instead of veg biryani and taste was not good. I called the restaurant to confirm if by mistake they have delivered fried rice instead of veg biryani then she said that delivery is correct . When I asked the difference between fried rice and veg biryani their chef told me that fried rice has only 2 vegetables while veg biryani has more vegetables. I also send them the pic of food and asked them if they could provide me veg fried rice pic to differentiate which they never sent to me. I think my money was just wasted and it also ruined my mood. I feel bad about taking my ratings back. Hopefully the owner will work on...

We had some friends visiting Calgary and staying up near the airport, so it was my job to find an Indian restaurant in close proximity. I picked Curry Lounge based on the reviews, and I am SO happy I did. The restaurant was immaculate, well-lit, and inviting. Our server (who is also the owner) was thoughtful, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. And the FOOD! We started with veggie biryani as the foundation, and piled on butter chicken, aloo gobi masala (spicy...but next time i'm going EXTRA spicy...I want to sweat!), shahi paneer (incredible), and the tahndoori fish sizzler (I would come back for this fish alone, time after time!). We topped it off with buttered naan and some chatni. For dessert, some gulab jamun (nicely warmed and sweet) and jalebi with chai. Everything was prepared with intention and care, beautifully spiced and delicious. We've eaten a lot of Indian food in Calgary and this was easily some of the best.
