What an amazing and lovely dining experience!
I think it's been a while since I have been to a restaurant where everything was amazing - food, drinks, service, customer service and so forth. I, honestly, have no complaints with any aspect of our experience.
Even before arriving, as we were parking, the restaurant texted to confirm our table was ready and to ensure we were still on our way. Once there, we were greeted by staff and immediately shown to our table. Our server was incredibly helpful and attentive and was consistently on top of our dining needs throughout the night. They regularly refilled our water, ensured we were good for drinks, gave us fresh cutlery and changed out our plates and were knowledgable about the menu and which foods would pair well with each other.
There were lots of vegetarian options on the menu which was great but they also had a fish & meat section which looked really tasty too. We were informed that at Ten Foot Henry, dishes were meant to be shared and that usually 3 to 4 dishes was sufficient for 2 people. We, ultimately, decided on the cauliflower, eggplant and 2 pasta dishes (tag with egg yolk and one with a pesto sauce) to share. Everything was absolutely amazing. The dishes were all incredibly well made and everything was just delicious. It's honestly a bit hard to put the experience in to words and summarize how tasty the drinks and food were. You'll just have take my word for it and go and experience it for yourself. I think the only thing to be aware of is that the food can be a bit pricey but it is certainly worth it. Absolutely must try!
Thank you to the staff at Ten Foot Henry for making our dining experience...

I had an absolutely amazing dinner at Ten Foot Henry on March 28th! Almost the entire menu is celiac-safe, with gluten-free bread and dessert optionsâsomething thatâs incredibly rare in a high-end dining experience.
I started with the tomatoes with herbs and whipped feta, paired with gluten-free seed bread. The fried potatoes with green goddess dressing were perfectly crispy and flavorful. For my main, I had the 12-ounce Alberta prime striploin, grilled to perfection, served with piperade and crispy potato. Dessert was a rich butterscotch pudding with salted caramel topping and sponge toffeeâabsolutely divine! I also enjoyed a cranberry soda and a comforting cup of Earl Grey to round out the meal.
This was a special evening, as I was celebrating my birthday with my daughter and son-in-law. The lovely server surprised me by bringing my dessert with a lit birthday candleâsuch a thoughtful touch that made the night even more memorable!
Having extreme dietary restrictions can make dining out frightening and stressful, and much of the menu was unfamiliar to me, but I was very happy with my meal and am already looking forward to my next visit.
It was incredible to sit in a beautiful, upscale restaurant and not have to worry about my food being safe. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and prepared, and the staff was beyond phenomenalâso knowledgeable and accommodating. They made me feel completely at ease with my dining choices.
If you're celiac or gluten-sensitive, this is a must-visit spot in Calgary. Canât wait...
Read moreFirst time coming here with he family. We've heard so much about this place and decided to check it. Located downtown Calgary and if you park after 6 pm its free. Restaurant was roomy and well laid out. Lots of plants everywhere.
Tuna Crudo - this dish was way too salty especially with the capers. I would not order this again,
Kale Caesar salad was delicious. The fried egg was an interesting touch as it added richness to the salad.
Charred Cabbage - this was disappointing as there was lots of positive reviews on this. The cabbage was just under cooked on the larger pieces and was tough to cut with a knife even. The sauce it on it was really good. Just the texture of the cabbage the issue. Think it the pieces were cut smaller it would have cooked more consistent.
Roasted Chicken - was perfectly cooked. It was moist and well seasoned. The sauce was on the side as requested. I really enjoyed this dish.
Spaghetti - was cheesy and my kids enjoyed it.
Taglitelle - kale pesto pasta was just too salty. I would not order it again.
Fried potatoes - this was really good and I know there were several positive reviews on this.
Dessert was also a miss. I think next time I would skip it. I think it was a coconut toasted cake and some kind of toffee dessert.
The service was excellent. Our waitress did a really good job with our table. Unfortunately some of the dishes were over salted. On some dishes they really nailed it but on the dishes that were a miss really just made it not a pleasant experience. Overall I would give this...
