Would like to acknowledge that despite the chaos that was the flames game, as well as the concert that was happening the overall appearance of the Center bar was very cleanly.
My companion and I walked in and were looking for a table. However, at this time none were available. I found my table and was able to sit myself with welcoming smiles from the sever in this section despite being overwhelmed.
Kallie, had greeted us and was very polite as well as presentable. You can tell that this sever was pregnant yet, was enthusiastic as well as wore a smile. Her ability to multitask was above par. This server was extremely organized, remembering orders, clearing tables as well as inviting guests back. (That was impressive to me).
There was definitely a lack of severs during this “dinner rush” time and I couldn’t help but notice the incredible team work from Sarah-Anne. She was also serving tables and working her own section but, never stopped to see an opportunity to pick up empty glass wear or support her fellow staff members.
My only critique is that Sarah wore her heart on her sleeve, and you could tell she was under pressure. She is however young and coachable. I know for a fact that, the best opportunity in sales for a guest is when a server channels that pressure into excitement. Finding the strength in the stress is the core value of providing the best service under pressure.
I would like to add that both Kallie and Sarah-Anne had an incredible ability to keep the tables clean and organized, despite the pressure. As a guest, that is valued.
I would like to move onto proceeding the concert. Serena at center bar was eager to greet guests even though there was no room. She was quick to offer a seat if it came available. Or, a drink should they need. She had the most amazing smile and you could tell she’s an asset. As, guests were drawn to it. She was extremely polite and handled herself well even with the chaos around her. She is most definitely a team player!
I would also like to acknowledge Haley in the slot cage. As she is as super attentive towards the influx of guests that we’re coming in. I also asked her specifically to offer me cash with my debit card and she did it with a smile. Haley was aware at all times of the staff behind the cage and she managed the staff very well. I was impressed with her customer service quality and patience with the other guests. Haley was most definitely as asset to the team in the slot cage!
Lastly, but certainly not least. Sarah Goodyear… where do I get one of her? You are so god damn lucky to have a manager that is able to manage a floor. Both INSIDE and outside the poker room. I can tell you a lot of things about my years in guest services but, I cannot express the amount of expertise and knowledge this woman brings to the table.
Sarah is an absolute irreplaceable member to guest services. The reason why I say this is that, I was able to discuss my experience with her and she knew all the staff by name and spoke so highly of them all. This to me indicated that Sarah not only cared about the staff but also cared about my experience.
She was so professional and extremely eager to ensure that the guests experience was always the best experience. This not only shows maturity. But, an understanding for guest relationships. Which she clearly has an understanding of. Even as I chatting with her other guests wanted ask for Sarah. As for guest retention, that is SUPER important!
Lastly, I would like to mention Shellane (support staff) and the most wonderful slot manager Jessable. The very person I wanted to acknowledge with this image. You truly are a leader and it is clear with the staff. Overall, I think Covid may have broke you guys down staff wise. But, your spirit is...
Read moreWe came to Calgary for spring break and St. Patrick’s day and saw Cowboys Casino and thought it looked like a good time. We were all very wrong, and very disappointed in our time here. Every single staff member we interacted with was incredibly rude and very disrespectful. We walked in and handed the bouncers our ID’s, and they didn’t say anything to us and escorted a couple of us away and wouldn’t tell us why our id’s were being questioned in the first place (which yes they were real.) We asked what was going on and they just walked away with the IDs. Not a big deal and we made it in. We walk over to the club portion of the casino for the St Patrick’s day event. The bouncers checked my girl friends bags vaguely, but when it came to our guy friends they looked through each pocket and searched through their wallets and was very rude to them about the whole interaction. We make it in and the girl right inside the club doors was the rudest. We were asking questions on where to go and how to proceed into the club and she gave a ridiculous amount of attitude and told us to “find our way to the other line” after already being scanned in? We go to the other line and the woman who scanned our ids for the second time waved her arms in the air after telling her another worker led us to that line, and accused us of sneaking in because we had already scanned in the other line. All we did was explained why we had to come back through, and she made a huge deal about it and almost threw our ids back to us and waved her arms and yelled at us to “get in.” Her attitude and tone quite literally had all of our jaws dropped. Lots of other minor interactions as well, such as bartenders and security. All I have to say is the casino needs to reinforce a welcoming environment to their workers. Definitely will never be...
Read moreI had the worst experience at the Cowboy's Club/Casino. The Casino security treated us so disrespectfully. As a girl in my mid-20s, I was never treated like this in my entire life. They kicked out one of our sober friends from the club for "intoxication", and when we asked them why, they asked us "where are you from"?! I was really insulted by this question and told them that this situation is racist. Then the security guy got furious and told us that we cannot go back into the casino either! We did not have our jackets with us so we were waiting there until our friends bring the jackets for us. At this time, the security came again and yelled furiously and rudely: "you must wait outside (in -13 degrees!), you told me racist because I am a white guy so you cannot be inside!" I didn't call anyone racist, I just said that the whole situation seems to be racist. When our friends arrived and saw me crying, they asked security what happened. Surprisingly, they denied everything! Then, another security guy named Eric from security said: yes, we asked because we thought that you might need a translator!" This guy was not even there when they asked us that question. I said "why would need a translator? I am fluent enough in English." He didn't answer, but repeatedly told me that "leave the building now!" This whole situation is absolutely unacceptable. I believe that everyone who walks into that casino must know how they disrespectfully behave...
