I placed an order online for bubble tea, taro cloud, tropical cloud, jasmine foam, after calling the store and asking if they had pearls and mochi. The lady assured me and asked me to place the order saying they made a fresh batch. I get to the store and she tells me she forgot to print the order and ran out of everything. I had four teenagers in the car looking forward to this. To make matters worse she proceeded to tell me "she didn't force me to drive down to the store, that was my decision and that as a new business (in air quotes she makes) they are still working the kinks out." Their customer service is terrible, the motto on their page is "be kind" especially during the pandemic and they don't practice what they preach. Her rudeness was stunning and as I was leaving she goes "have a good evening, things like this happen when we get busy." Unfreaking believable! They didn't have the drinks made and she says, I can make it if you want, I had paid for the drinks online already. I am in disbelief. Priya
I see you twisted the facts. My husband was logged in when I wrote the review, the teenagers were outside, two actually came in first, and shared the experience with the other teenagers. Threatening people for writing their truth about the experience is disgusting. What good experience that I had have you been witness to, to make such a statement about your kindness? Your staff member told me to reach out to you and write a review, she also said she forgot to print the order because they got busy. Of course I had to drive down to pick up the order once I was assured. Anyways I don't want to get to your level of threatening, I stated my experience. I am happy to testify in front of a judge, one never has to be afraid when telling the truth. First of all, let’s talk about the interior. Totally Instagramable and stunning. Every time I go there, I can’t help myself but take photos for my Instagram and social media. No wonder why this place has been all over the TikTok and food bloggers have been recommending it. Feels so cozy, lots of seating areas, and beautiful details 🌱🌿 Before I tried TheMoon, I was a type of person who thought all bubble tea places in Calgary were pretty much the same. But not with TheMoon! I could taste premium ingredients and I’ve been a loyal customer over a year and never disappointed me. It’s not just me who thinks in that way. I always pick up extra bubble tea for my family or friends who haven’t had TheMoon before. And they are all pleasantly shocked because they also can taste the difference from other bubble tea places. I love their consistency of the taste and high quality ingredients. And the price is great as well! Read moreWe came here for the first time on Thursday and had a good experience and enjoyed the cloud foam jasmine milk tea. We enjoyed the cloud foam specifically and decided to come back today (Sunday) but had a much different experience. Immediately after receiving the drink we noticed that there was no cloud foam on top. The staff simply took the lid off and put a very small amount on top of the drink (I couldn't even tell it was there upon drinking the drink, where it was obvious in the drink on Thursday). When we asked if they could add a bit more, even if they needed to empty some tea for room, they mentioned that it was there but melted because we "didn't get ice". We know this not to be true since we got the same drink Thursday and it had been less than 2 minutes since the drink was made. We didn't appreciate this response and service as it made us feel as they were just trying to rush us out of the store instead of addressing the problem. I would love to see some consistency as the staff and drink were great when we came Thursday!
Edit as response: I don't believe the cloud foam melted that much since we had the exact same drink the other day (jasmine, no ice and no sugar), went all the way home and still had more foam than we got today. Where if it melted today, it would have had to melt within 2 minutes of ordering it.
