D Spot Dessert Cafe Calgary 17th Ave — Restaurant in Calgary

Honestly if I could give it zero stars I would. We came all the way from Ontario for the stampede, we’ve been to dspot many times in Ontario and trying it for the first time in Calgary, never been more disappointed. First of all there was no one else in the restaurant except my family of 4, the waitress took our order and left, everything was fine until our food came. We ordered 3 pizzas with our garlic dipping sauces and a burger. 2 out of 3 pizzas came, and our burger but 1 pizza was missing and so were our garlic dipping sauce. We waited over 25min and mind you the waitress didn’t come out once to let us know where the 3rd pizza was and she didn’t even give our garlic dipping sauce. We ordered the dipping sauce so we can dip our pizza in the sauce but literally the waitress disappeared and no one was at the counter. We called out multiple times and no one showed up. Our pizza and burger got cold, the third pizza missing and no dipping sauce. What kind of customer service is this, staff missing and not once coming to inform us of how long the third pizza is gonna take and not even bringing out the dipping sauce. We sat there waiting and drinking water and called out the waitress for more than 25min. Finally a man making the pizza (which I am sure was ours) saw us calling out turned the girl (our waitress) who mind you was on her phone sitting down. She came up and we asked her for our pizza and she said it will be 5 more minutes and she didn’t even realize she forgot our sauce and she was all over the place. She knew she made a mistake sent out the man to bring our sauce and he said sorry the pizza took longer than expected. You have zero customers except us 4 and ur staff couldn’t handle coming out asking if food was good, if we needed anything or even let us know how long the pizza took. When we confronted her all she said was that she was helping the cook fix the oven so she couldn’t come out to talk to us. What kind of training is this. She didn’t own up to her mistakes and when we told her to check the cameras to see how long we been calling out and waiting she realized she was in the wrong. Our food was cold (she made us sit under an AC unit) we didn’t eat our pizza because no sauce was delivered and she couldn’t even bother to compensate the mistake she made! It is been years we are customers for this location, never been disappointed. You know you have a great business when the manger on top of everything.

Our host Jaylin such an amazing human being, funny, friendly and attentively answered all our requests with no hesitation or being annoyed. She made up our night with her beautiful soul 😊 Thank you Jay!

The picture below was a Cookilesh but the mess you are seeing shows how good it was to the point couldn't have the pre pic😂😂. We had Chipotle pizza and Sultan Steak and both were flavourful and filled with the yummy topping. They only thing I am not a fan of the Chapatta bread because it is a bit dry, but the flavors of the sandwich made it up for me. There is a bit of ketchup sauce on it I guess so, if you don't like it heads up for that. We finished with the desert and tea after the big dinner. The tea was soooo good you must have it. We asked for Mint and green tea.
