I felt compelled to write this review after yet another bad experience at this Denny’s. We come here to pick up dinner sometimes and have a few times dined in. This time when I arrived at the host stand no one came to greet me and there was no server or any staff in sight for a good few minutes so I just had to stand there and wait. When they finally came over they were not friendly not acknowledged that I had been waiting. This alone isn’t a big deal but after having a few experiences like this and one very bad experience I couldn’t not say something anymore.
On Christmas Day my partner and I came in for lunch as we have recently moved from overseas and have no family here. We walked to the restaurant and arrived at 1 hour and 15 minutes before closing time. When we walked in we weren’t acknowledged at first then when someone came over (he seemed like the manager) we asked for a table for two and he flat out said no we aren’t taking any tables and I asked if that meant at all or there was a wait to which he responded he didn’t know how long and I asked if we could sit and wait (there would have been 6 tables occupied at most) and he seemed put out by this but said ok. When we were sat about 15 minutes later we had the slowest server I’ve ever come across. She forgot about my partners drink and brought it out half way through his meal. I’m very tolerant and work in the industry myself so I understand if you are busy it can be tough but not treating your guests properly is disgraceful. Great way to spend our Christmas!
The only reason we come back is because the food itself is decent but definitely not a place to go if you’re looking for...
Read moreWe got to the restaurant and first the service was slow we weren’t given water to start or anything, we ordered drinks and appetizers to start the drinks came the donut holes didn’t then we all ordered, my food was messed up, I asked to substitute the hash browns for poutine I got both both the hash and the poutine and I even got Charged for both despite the mistake that was made by them.no ketchup on the table, no water nothing . All good we were about to pay, we made a payment and tipped, my bf wanted to tip more and he asked around our table to see if anyone had cash. before we could even say anything the waitress asked “what’s wrong with you people” slammed the reciept on the table and walked off, she was so rude to us and then she proceeded to ignore our other request until we had to flag her down twice. She acted like an absolute child and so entitled despite the fact that we still tipped even though everything else was mediocre. I work at a restaurant too and I recieve tips, you don’t treat people that way matter what, it’s so unprofessional. You get tipped for the service you provide and you’re not supposed to be entitled to people money. This is the second time I would be going there and they both have been bad experiences. It is totally...
Read moreWe didn’t have the greatest experience at this location. Our visit started with the hostess being absolutely clueless. We said “hello, for two please, on the patio if you have space” She was grabbing menus and not really listening. “You want to sit outside?” She said, then walked away without telling us there was room, or to follow her or to stand there and pick our noses. Thankfully, there was another gal there that clued in and told us there was room and to follow her. Our server was more interested in holding hands with her boyfriend (who was sitting a table across from us drinking coffee) than she was with serving tables. Our food was brought out by a different server, who put our plates on the table and left without checking to see if we needed anything. We didn’t have ketchup, salt & pepper, or jam. We tried to ask but she left mid sentence. We took all the items we needed from the table beside us. Our server returned eventually to top our coffee and we asked for pepper, which took about 10 minutes (the boyfriend was still there). The food was not great, we won’t return....
