Our team at the Faculty of Nursing contacted Elisa about catering breakfast, snacks, and lunch for a 65 person event on campus. The faculty had a good outcome with previous events catered by them so we opted to use them for this larger multi-meal event. Our attendee numbers shifted as we led up to event. This Good Earth Coffeehouse team was quick to respond to our communications and were flexible and accommodating, especially as we approached the mid-60's for attendees (we expected 50 people originally). They were also reassuring regarding their accommodation for our guests with dietary restrictions. This gave additional confidence in their delivery for the event.
On the day of the event, Max and Serhii arrived at their pre-determine to set up the coffee/tea station and breakfast. They provided clearly labelled (names and dietary restrictions) for our attendees with special diets, myself being one of them. They were kind, professional, and prepared. Max and Serhii were a hard working crew, swift in their set up and teardown of the food/coffee/tea stations.
We are grateful to this team for their contributions in a seamless planning, delivery, and deliciously catered (and safe for dietary needs) 65-person event. We highly recommend them for large and small catered events.
I added photos of our attendees enjoying the event, satisfied with coffee, food, and knowledge (I did not take photos of the food set-up unfortunately). I added a picture of the special diet labels on my breakfast bar (so tasty!) and salad, which was inside this labelled bag. As a Celiac, it is such a relief to have clear communication and labelling...
Read moreComing from someone who works at another GoodEarth in Calgary, I sometimes find myself disappointed with this location (though I haven't had problems with the one in ICT). Though the drinks have always been great, they seem to charge extra for everything - although I understand charging extra for things like extra espresso shots, syrups, alternative milks etc, I find some things a bit unnecessary and frustrating and it diminishes the customer experience.
I paid for a large drink then asked for a small cup of hot water on the side and they said they only do that if you bring your own cup - I understand this policy to some extent but as a paying customer I feel as though giving a small cup of hot water should not be such an issue? Another time I asked for a plastic spoon and the employee said they only give it out to paying customers (which, again, reasonable as many students would take advantage of this and go and ask for this) but 10 minutes later I made a purchase and asked for a spoon and they said they don't give it out, even though I had just made a purchase. After a minute the employee reluctantly gave it to me but I was frustrated with the extent the employees go to to charge for everything. My friends have also faced issues with being surprised by the extra charges and for this reason go to Starbucks instead. I want to support this location and the quality of drinks here is great, but as someone who works at a GoodEarth and would never charge for some of these things, it becomes a bit frustrating to see these things happen. Good food and good service for the most...
Read moreI've been to this location twice now, and both times have had a less than pleasant experience. The first time was last week and I had ordered an iced latte and waited over 25 minutes for it. I work in the industry and totally don't mind waiting don't get me wrong! But, it was the staffs lack of attention towards customers and the attitude that gave me a bad taste. Once I got my beverage it was great though! I went back again today and ordered a tea (which is also fantastic), but again felt mistreated by staff. I forgot my fork for my lunch so asked the employee for a fork with my PAID ORDER, and she says they can only give them to daily customers?? I asked if I could get a spoon at least then or any sort of utensil and rudely said the same thing again. I understand saying no to a non paying customer, but I ordered a drink, and what if I was a daily customer and you didn't know? Anyways, drinks are great, service is less than par and...
