Small and cozy coffee shop in the heart of Kensington with a big mission of helping low-income coffee farmers, their families and communities in Columbia. I had a delicious Eggnog Latte and Rosemary, Ham and Cheese Croissant. This place has big windows and is very bright, even on a cloudy winter day. The interior is minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing. Light wood/plywood furniture with white granite countertops and tables. I particularly like their baked goods display case with wooden trays and tag holders. This place seems like pretty sustainable business overall and gives that nice European coffee shop vibe. It’s always a pleasure to have a cup of good coffee in a café like this. Playlist was on point as well.

Tried this place in yet another attempt to find a good mocha in Calgary. Needless to say it was another fail. 1. I’m still trying to understand how is acceptable to serve beverages in carton cups. IT IS A COFFEE SHOP! 2. Ordered a mocha which tested like warm milk - not coffee, nor chocolate - just milk. 3. In the bright side, when elevated my concerns the lady explained (I should say justified the lack of taste) that’s how they prepare beverages there 🤷🏼‍♀️. Still she was open to offer an alternative based on my description of the problem. 4. The place is clean, organized and nice Overall, not worthy of the high rating

This is a new coffee place that opened about 2 months ago. They also have a shop at the Crossroads farmers market. I think they source ethical coffee beans from Columbia so that is very meaningful. The shop was very busy and there were no seats available when we came on a Sunday afternoon. I like the bright and relaxing atmosphere inside the shop and the all white walls gives it a very modern feel. I got the Cortado and the coffee art on it was very beautiful and most importantly, it tasted great! Will definetely come again.

I have been going to Good Trade practically daily for months now. I have tried almost every drink on the menu, and a fair share of little sandwiches and pastries - I have never been disappointed! They have an excellent selection of coffee beverages, as well as non-coffee options for everyone’s taste. The Vietnamese latte remains my go-to, and has never failed me! The staff there genuinely make my day, and are a huge part of the reason why I continue to recommend Good Trade over any of coffee shop in the area. Guillermo, specifically, has such a wholesome and welcoming energy every time I come into shop, and I have never seen him be any less than friendly and patient with every other customer. If their continued initiatives to support fair-trade, local coffee producers, and accessible education for young people in Colombia isn’t enough of a reason to support Good Trade over other coffee shops in the area… then, simply trust me on the Vietnamese latte and...
