Had the Ginger Beef as takeout. Nice, crunchy exterior, even after a day in the fridge. There's a deceptively large amount of sauce included at the bottom of the pan. Good overall flavour, actual beef, the meat itself, was probably the mediocre part of the dish. The sauce is tasty, but it no way hot. If tabasco sauce is your limit, you could easily eat this. The heat level is a little bit above pepper. Would I eat it again for $13? Yeah, occasionally, but not on the regular.

I like King's Chinese Foods. They are friendly, the service is quick and they offer sit down service if you have to wait. They also have a bench outside. The food is amazing! Their specials are extensive but make sure you ask them WHEN their specials are. Many are time sensitive. Also, ensure they give you the discounts provided as they seem to 'forget' after then punch in your payment. I have eaten their several times and gotten food for friends and they love it too!

King of salt and calories Kings Chinese food is delicious in part of the use of salt and oil. Kings over does it on the salt and oil that one’s taste buds search for the flavours of the food. The rice had too much sauce. The ginger beef had more batter than ginger and the texture was off. It was a sad experience and made me miss my Canadian Chinese food at home.

Alright, it’s time to share my thoughts on King’s Chinese Food on 17th ave. If someone wants to have a nice evening dinner, I would advise them to look-up the reviews for King’s Chinese Food and read the bad reviews. Why? you may ask; I’ll tell you “why.” The bad reviews reveal a dismal truth; this restaurant has subpar food, and the potential for minor to severe food poisoning. Again you may be asking “why?” Again I’ll tell you “why.” My wife and I ordered from King’s Chinese Food last night, which arrived in a timely manner, with the hope of having a few nights worth of dinner; however, we had to almost throw out everything with the only exception being: beef and broccoli, which was okay at best. To be honest, I don’t know how they managed it, but they undercooked every other item we ordered. The ginger beef was doughy and tasted like shrimp; the sweet and sour pineapple chicken was doughy and the chicken tasted uncooked; the shanghai fried noodles were doughy and had pork, which my wife and I don’t eat; the spring rolls were doughy and covered in oil; the chicken balls were doughy, though they looked cooked on the outside, and the chicken was overcooked (don’t ask because I have no idea). Fortunately, my wife didn’t eat as much of the “food” as I did, so she didn’t get food poisoning; I, on the other hand, did get food poisoning. For the love of god, please do your research ahead of time, so that you don’t end up running to the bathroom every 5 minutes like I’m doing; moreover, spend your money elsewhere, so that you don’t waste $90 on a...

Not going to be coming back anytime soon. For a place advertising Ginger beef on the front window it was super mid. The menu said hot and it wasn't remotely spicy.

Beef n broccoli, and the shrimp noodle dish were both severely under seasoned, with undercooked noodles and nearly raw vegetables. Even a pinch of salt would have gone a long way (which it did, once i got home). More than 4 shrimp in such a large dish would be great, too.

The flies all over the till area should have been enough of a sign to stay away. At least the woman working the till was super polite, even if she kept getting my order wrong.

EDIT: serious food poisoning. Somebody call ahs...

The review on Uber Eats is completely misleading and must be a scam from Uber Eats . The reviews on Google are more accurate as this is absolutely the worst Chinese food you could ever imagine.

It’s like they went to 7-Eleven and bought frozen Chinese food and then sent it out– – this food is absolute garbage and I think even if you were hung over, you would find it disgusting

Whoever owns this restaurant is cheap and uses cheap ingredients and have never taken any restaurant or cooking course in their entire life

I do have a recommendation for you —- the recommendation is to...
