Noodlebox — Restaurant in Calgary

Partner and I both ended up with "went-straight-through-you" upset stomachs after eating here (it was the only thing that both of us ate all weekend and this happened within 90min of consumption).

But even if this was a coincidence and nothing to do with the meal itself, the ingredients were totally sub-standard.

Limp broccoli, floppy carrots with spoil marks and rubbery chicken. The noodles were hard and either undercooked or just plain old stale.

Their version of chicken nuggets contained a pennys' worth of chicken surrounded by inches of pale batter - and soggy as though they'd been microwaved rather than fried.

Absolutely disgusting meal. Hands down THE WORST meal I've had all year.

//Side note: watch out for the generic, pointless response from headoffice .... "We're truly sorry to hear that your meal didn't meet your expectations. We strive for a high level of service at all our locations..."

Like after reading other one star reviews here it's obvious it's just meaningless corporate speech.

Avoid this place, especially if you have an event or plan on heading out afterwards ... it's just not...

I ordered from Noodlebox on Saturday night through Skip The Dishes. I ordered the Cambodian vegetarian spring rolls (among other items) and specified on the notes that I am vegan and to please ensure the spring rolls were vegan, if not to simply cancel the item. When the order arrived my boxes were all marked vegan except for the spring rolls but I was happy to see the vegan notes and assumed the rolls were safe to eat. One bite in and I could taste that it wasn't right, so i called the store and spoke to someone and after some questioning I discovered that they were in fact pork. This is doubly distressing to me as I am also Jewish. I feel like this situation has not been resolved properly, through Skip I was refunded for the spring rolls and left to feel upset and like no one really cared about my experience. I spent the rest of the evening...

(I only had takeout.) First, the menu had a great variety, and the level of customization offered great promise.

However, I was really disappointed with the underflavouring (my friend requests extra sauce) and undersized food. for $20 (extra noodles, and double beef). The meals themselves are around $10, but Meat and vegetables are extra... and for an additional 50% of the initial price. I got around the same size meal (and ammount of beef, ...or they didn't actually give me double) as you might find at Thai Express.... for
