Update: Got in touch with the Reginal Director who gave us a free OPA Meal each to make up for the discount we missed. Thank you so much Peter for reaching out and resolving this. Will and have been back to OPA since!
Ladies were lovely, however upon waiting for our food to be made we saw a sign on the glass that was hidden by another customer that had a deal ‘Buy any two platters or two wrap meals for $19.99, plus two fountain drinks” ... I spoke to what I assume was the “manager” asking if we could get the deal as we had ordered two wrap meals. He said he couldn’t give us the two drinks as the order had already been rang through?? Now I’ve worked in retail, I’ve worked with customers, patients and clients, I get it. What annoyed me the most was that I wasn’t asking to get the two meals refunded and redone again for $19.99, I just wanted the two drinks that we should have got. The drinks cost not even $2 each but this “manager” couldn’t even honor the deal? He was making terrible excuses as to why he couldn’t give us the drinks but I’ve worked in this type of setting before, there was several things he could have done to have given us the two drinks with our paid meals. Not only that but the person who took our order never even mentioned the deal, it’s only displayed on the glass that’s after you’ve already paid and ordered and there was a customer standing in front of the sign. I left there feeling very frustrated with the guy. We WON’T be going back to that...
Read moreI eat opa about twice a month. Usually it's good and filling. Ordered a souvlaki platter and a fries with a wrap for my friend. The wrap was prepared by the girl working there and she did a great job. My friends food was great. Unfortunately the souvlaki platter was prepared by a angry looking confused man. He didnt know what he was doing and kept looking up at the screen for instructions. He didnt know how to prepare the ceaser salad even. I even had to remind him to put seasoning on the bread which was mushy instead of warm and crunchy. The lamb was rubbery because it was not cooked long enough. He was measuring out the rice as if each grain costs a dollar. Salad was gross and watery. Potatoe was raw on the inside.I told my friend that this is the worst opa that I had ever eaten. You can do alot better angry looking guy. I know I will never get my money back now....
Read moreI like to give everybody a chance I have been to this location three times. Portions are extremely small compared to other locations that I visit. I love Opa. I eat it regularly at least two times a month. I asked for extra dressing they give me a thimble full of extra at this location only, the meat is so dry. It’s like powder and it’s not hot. The tomatoes are over ripe and mushy. There’s hardly any cucumber, green pepper and onion. It is not truly a Greek salad opa style. I am very disappointed in this location and I will not be visiting it again. I will drive the 15 km if I have to, to go to my favourite opa. I will go to any other location in Calgary I will not visit the Marda Loop location Ever again. If you could leave a rating without leaving it, any stars. This location would excel. Huge fail huge...
