I'd heard some great reviews, but I'm always skeptical until I try it. I was in the area and craving a good sandwich, so decided to give it a shot.
I was NOT disappointed! I was impressed right off the bat by the clean, bright, comfortable environment, the great selection of different sandwiches, plus extra toppings, and the staff were friendly and polite.
When I got my food - the very fresh bread had a nice crust, but the inside was soft without being doughy. The lettuce was fresh and crisp. The meats were plentiful, flavourful, moist, and not paper thin like some places. The best part was the veg and olive tapenade though... I ate over an hour ago, and my tastebuds are still singing!

I will continue to tell everyone how good Peppino’s in Kensington and...

After only a few bites, I discovered it was their dressing that tasted funny (to me). It's a little spicy, but tastes like sour pickles with chunks of something in it.
When I watched the gentleman assemble the sub, that seemed be the only dressing available - I didn't see any mayonnaise.
Unfortunately I experienced some...ahem...digestive issues for the next few hours.
I'm trying to be fair by giving them three stars, because they tried to...
