Update 1 star. Take out dishes were merely half full, even rice was only 3/4 filled. Garlic naan is bland, just some weak garlic butter spread on plain naan. Too many really high quality Indian restaurants around marlonoro mall. Give this place a miss, by a wide margin. April 2024 update. Rice half full, naan stale, chicken ketchup taste with spice not true butter tomatoe taste. Awful zéro star. Pathetic. Really two different reviews. Dine in 3/5 Greasy fast food with taste as authentic as Brampton Ontario restaurants and indian friends homes. However take out? 2/5 Just subtract substantial portions of key ingrédients. Like chicken. Less naan. Much way better around Marlborough Mall area. Give this one a miss.

Do not order Biryani if you have tried or loved authentic biryani at other places or you know the pricess of naking biryani well. I have not tried other food here so my reviews are limited to biryani. Biryani is not mix or cooked chicken and cokked rice for sure. Tatse was diffent and okay but I would call this as Chicken Rice and not biryani. Prices are great low. Would try other food for sure to give them fair chance on thier specalities. 2 start for atmosphere because we found dust on water jug and not so clean tables.

Ordered via skipthedishes, I ordered a lamb Biryani, butter chicken, plain rice, plain naan and garlic naan. The food was very lackluster the lamb Biryani looks like they had plain rice and they dumped some lamb on top of it. Wasn't spiced or a mixed dish like I'm use to and I've eaten lots of Indian . The naan bread was hard and not very good. The butter chicken was mostly liquid and not tasty. I wouldn't recommend this. Skipthedishes said it was 9.7 rated but man o man it wasn't..

TERRIBLE!! What an AWEFUL restaurant and an illitrate manager Mr. AJ (Ajay) is. I was with my husband in canmore to had a lunch at this restaurant. This restaurant really needs help. The chef at this restaurant will only prepare food at his will and will not listen to the customer's choice. Moreover the manager at the restaurant really needs some hospitality management training. He was rude to us and instead of listening to us he decided that we can leave the restaurant.

So either they dont know how to make adjustments to the food or they are over smart and dont need more business. Anyways they ruined our lunch and we had to drive to banff to have the lunch. Thanks to the other restaurant in banff who served us the food the way we like.

I’ve been eating at Spice Hut for over 15 years, and it remains mine and my partners absolute favorite Pakistani restaurant in all of Calgary. The food is consistently flavourful, with generous portions of meat and sauce that never disappoint. I always get the lamb vindaloo and garlic naan. I’ve tried all of their chicken dishes too and they are so flavourful and delicious. Their bread is simply incredible—fluffy, with a perfect crust on the bottom.

The owner and employees are always warm and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. I’m genuinely surprised by the negative reviews because this place is a gem. It has stood the test of time for me, and I have no doubt it will continue to do so....

This is outstanding food. The flavours of their curries are spectacular. Very rich food. The beef madras and lamb curry are just OMG beyond tasty. The owner works his butt off and has loyal staff. I buy food from this place 3 times a week. Its SOOOOO good and Soooooo reasonably priced. The naans are fresh from a tandoor clay oven. You can get 2 naans a currry dish and an order of kabobs for under $20 !!! Its a steal and QUALITY and Authentic Pakistani food!! I own a pizza restaurant and know how hard it is to run a business and man do these guys know how to run a restaurant!!! Your senses get riled you can smell the amazing aroma in the parking lot!!!!!!! FANTASTIC joint highly recommend it!!!!! Great...
