An amazing little spot for a great meal. From the amazing artwork for the logo and the menus, to the great and friendly service, you won't regret your visit.
Brought the whole family for lunch over the weekend after my wife saw this establishment on Instagram. The main item here are the pocket Sushi, which are made of rice, toppings and wrapped in Inari, which is a slightly sweet tofu skin. They resemble a cut open burrito, and the variety is fresh and wide. There are pocket Sushi with and without seafood, raw and cooked, a lot of combinations to choose from!
They also serve Udon prepared in a number of different ways as well. From pasta style to traditional soup udons, all of the ones we ordered were delicious.
There are also Asian snacks and drinks that are not as widely available at most stores for purchase.
The dining area is small, so big groups may need to split up, but the decor is cute, clean and very well kept. The facilities are well stocked and clean as well. I would say the only thing is the noise level as there is a boxing gym on the lower level and you can hear work out music.
Parking is plentiful, lots of spots on the street or at nearby lots. It's also a nice place to walk to as the area is quite charming.
Overall a very fun and delicious place to...
Read moreI LOVE inari sushi so much, and I was so happy to find a place where the menu is focused all around it! It absolutely lived up to my expectations, the food was delicious and super reasonably priced, the udon meal deal and four pockets deal were both affordable on a careful travel budget and a really satisfying amount of food. I loved some of the fun menu options like the carbonara udon so much! The little touch with that one, where you can mix in the egg on top of your noodles into your carbonara sauce, made me so happy, overall this food is just a great sensory experience. I was only in Calgary for a limited time and this is the one place I made multiple trips to.
In addition! The staff member working at the counter at the time I was there was really kind and accommodating about the fact that due to a coordination disability, I found myself struggling with the chopsticks. I'd wanted to give them a go, but I did get myself into a bit of a knot - and obviously he had no idea of my situation re: the disability, so the fact that he handled offering me alternative accommodation (read: a fork) in a thoroughly non-judgemental way, was really, really...
Read moreMy daughter and I were there a few months ago. We have always wanted to try this place. There were not many pockets on display in the cooler window and those that were, were dried up and did not look tasteful. Regardless, we were there and decided to give it a go. We ordered a couple from the cooler display as well as asked from some others from the menu. My daughter is vegan and we tried to ask a couple of questions regarding the items she was ordering. The young lady at the till spoke very little English and had to go in the bad to get the chef/boss/her father perhaps (maybe a family business?). He was also barely able to answer our questions as it he just nodded a yes. We spend close to $40, and we waited a good 20 minutes. When we tried our items, they were clearly not fresh, nor were they tasteful. A complete disappointment. Good Quality and customer service is not easy to find these days and it was not a good feeling spending that much on something that was not satisfactory. Needless to say we didn't even end up eating...
