Amazing place for me to train my skills in Parkour, with the sport being so welcome in the area it's a really positive place to be during the day time. I don't recommend being there after nightfall however, as good as it is in the day it is sketchy at night time, drug deals are known to be common in the area as well as being swarming with cops at night, not the most fun. With that all said Century Gardens has become a Parkour Hub in Calgary if you are lucky and happen to walk by you may be able to see some live parkour happening, people expressing themselves through movement and freedom among their environment. Something you won't likely find anywhere else in Calgary. If you want to see some examples of Parkour at Century Gardens head over to Instagram and check out users like @podimaiku and @haggis.pk

There are green areas and benches for seating and the park is located just next to a c-train station. The water was quite cold on comparison to some of the other parks we've tried. Please also note that the restroom / changing facilities are currently closed. There are temporary toilet facilities but these were not well-maintained on the day we visited. Will update the rating if things improve.

I don’t normally go downtown but I thought I’d drop by as I knew they had renovated this park since last time I’ve been down here. I like the open and airy layout, fresh and lots of open space. On the negatives they took away some of the history aspects of the original installation, which is kind of disappointing. Plus there doesn’t seem to be an upper level view which is accessible anymore.

This is nice if there is no junkies everywhere, they are like zombies walking dead in real life. made me feel unsafe specially at night!
