Pranzo Italiano — Restaurant in Calgary

The gentleman working here is so kind and takes lots of pride into his cooling. I've had the pleasure of having the chicken and chickpeas, the chicken Alfredo and the lambshank. All of it absolutely fantastic. There's something unique about Avenida as this maybe my 5th review from another restaurant here. I highly recommend if you're craving an Italian style type of food. He also makes dishes and freezes them that you can eat later sold at Mercantile....

I bought some items from the HSCA farmers market today including the Chickpea tomato salad (upon the recommendation of the man at the booth). I can honestly say that when I took the first bite of the salad I could not stop eating it. It was absolutely amazing and tasted soooo fresh. Cold on a hot summers day at a picnic is the most perfect way that I can imagine eating this salad....

We ordered 5 entrees and some appetizers for a family gathering - we called in and ordered well in advance, and the owner was very helpful in suggesting side pairings based on what we ordered. We picked our meal up, it was ready exactly on time and was packed beautifully. We enjoyed our meals, everything was beautifully cooked - the veggies especially were amazing!...
