I NEVER leave reviews. But considering what happened and how it was resolved. Well here it is. This was not a pleasant experience. Went here with my mum this morning for a little girls breakfast before our day. Going out to eat is a rare treat for us and we wanted to try a new place. At first glance we were super happy with the friendly staff and the look of our food and the environment. However things took a turn….we ordered a waffle meal and a pancake meal. And about halfway into our meals my mum had to spit out her food as there was a FULL long black hair cooked into her waffle. Not even on top like it could be possibly explained away like it fell off in transport or some ridiculous thing but IT WAS COOKED INTO THE BATTER. Disgusting. She obviously couldn’t finish her meal and I almost hurled right there at the table.
We sent both our meals back straight away and kindly and quietly explained the situation to our waitress (who was kind-we asked what the policy was in this situation to which she replied well we just want to make the customer happy - well we are not happy)
They wanted us to pay for both our meals full price and offered a bogo coupon to return another day. I’m sorry. Who wants to return to a restaurant where they had hair in their food?! Not me!
We explained again kindly. We are not comfortable paying full price for either of our meals considering the situation and experience. Even though my meal had no hair I could not continue eating. Our meals and experience were ruined. Then we were offered one meal the hair one removed and pay full price for the rest. So it was still $30 in the end for food we DID NOT eat.
So. Manager whoever you are take note. When and if this happens Step 1: when the waitress comes back and tells you this happens you put down whatever you are doing and come out from the back and apologize to the customers who took time out of their day to visit your establishment only to have their morning ruined by your restaurants awful mistake Step 2: instantly tell them that you are comping ALL meals at the table. It doesn’t matter how many or how few. You’ve ruined the meals and that’s on you. Step 3: now that the customer has managed not to hurl and you’ve not made it any worse by trying to make them pay for garbage maybe just maybe they might one day return and not feel the need to leave a bad review.
Today however you...

Read moreI was here with family on 31st. This is a new breakfast hotspot competing with Cora if you think about it. Cora has been pretty consistent and good but one gets eventually bored of eating same things there. So you need variety. This place has that variety. You can order here ten types of waffles or french toasts or pancakes. Not to mention all the other things on the menu. This was a busy place on 31st and looking by how busy it was I was afraid I may have to wait out. But luckily server found us a table quickly. The online orders kept coming non stop I could see that while waiting as their staff was super busy on phone and take drivers kept coming and leaving with packages. This gave me confidence that people like this food and the service. I ordered strawberry cheesecake french toast for myself and my family went ahead with rest of their choices like pancake, waffles, egg omelette etc. We also exchanged our dishes a bit to get a taste of what each order tasted. And I give it a 5 star. The food is superb and I will bring the family here again. That I knew after first bite. The owner Jag was in person taking rounds to ensure guests were taken care of and she was also open to any suggestions I made. Portions were healthy and sumptuous. At the end of our innings Jag came to ask how was the service and food and we commended her on that. I let her know I was posting a review right there but Im not sure why this did not show up that day so Im reposting it again. I think this is a great place. Lots of parking too. I highly recommend and will be revisiting Stacked NE to try all different types of French Toast which is my favorite breakfast. I suggest you should come here too and enjoy the fantastic tasty breakfast...
