My review is not based one one visit. I have been to this location a lot of times from when it was first open to recently.( Thursday December 14, 2017) When it first opened I went not expecting much. However my expectations were beyond met. Customer service was great, prep table were clean and they even offered to change gloves in between orders which I was vary happy to know considering we do not eat pork and etc. The pizza quality was exceptional! It was my instant favourite. Me and my husband went there often and paid more for their pizzas over any other pizza store that would cost us less because we believe in paid for good quality food and good customer service when we eat out.
Over time the staff changed but there ar still a few old staff members from when we started going. The quality of pizza went down and the customer service has went right out the window. NOT ONE person that works there has gave us the same good service that made it our favourite. For example when we start to order I always smile and am vary polite since we go there often it helps establish a good relationship I assume from your daily customers. But NO! They have always made our Oder like they are doing us a favour. My husband always gets the BBQ chicken but gets a few extra topping added to it, but when we ask them for that they make it seem like we are asking for to much or they are paying out of their pockets for our order or doing us a favour by making our order. Even though it’s been this way for multiple visits I always give them the benefit of the doubt and assume maybe they are having a bad day or it was a busy day and they must be tired or whatever I still continue to be nice. They never smile and always have this face like they don’t even wanna be there, and when we ask for new gloves ( and I always say please and thank you) they have this attitude about it. It seems like they take offens to it or something. The prep table is not always clean and when the pizza goes into the pit sometimes it’s so dirty in there that when we get it back it’s covered in black dust from burnt bits and covers the bottom of the pizza and the crust. Sometimes the pizza is also over cooked to where it’s burnt in places to the point it’s black. We ordered pizza and when it was cook i realized my topping were not on the pizza evenly. Not to be picky but it was like plain cheese pizza on a few slices and all topping to one side. The tables and garbage area aren’t always the cleanest. And they seem to be laughing and in a good mood talking to each other but with customers they act like they are forced to work there and do a vary sloppy job. I think after this many bad visits I officially consider this place a no go for us! It’s just another fast food place with crappy service. If you are lucky to go there and get decent service the food is good and it’s not that bad of a place but it’s vary inconsistent and we haven’t been that lucky in a long while. Read moreAbsolutely the WORST customer service I have ever experienced from any restaurant. I called the restaurant twice because the online ordering wasn't working on my phone or on my laptop. When I called the automated service said that they have a call center that could accept orders and I was then told by someone working there that there is no way to order from them by phone, only online. This to me is an absolutely ridiculous system because there are still people who don't use the internet or know how to order online and I was told the exact words "if you can't order online you have to go somewhere else". That is a terrible way to gain or keep a good reputation in the restaurant industry. Even after I told them the alert their system kept giving me they were absolutely no help at all. This would have been the first time I ordered from them and now I will never order from them or recommend them to anyone. If you have the choice of taking and order by phone to prevent a potentially loyal customer from not ordering from you altogether or basically telling them "too bad, go somewhere else", I would take the order by phone to gain the customer. I worked in the service industry for almost 10 years and never once have I ever been rude or gotten angry with anyone working in customer service, because I've been there too, but I have never been spoken to or treated like I was when I called the Calgary Sunridge location of...
Read moreJust tried Blaze tonight for the first time, after my boss at work recommended it. It was lovely, and well worth the drive from over in Kensington. Service was great too, and I always notice when it isn't. I'm a little hard of hearing in my left ear, and often have to ask people to repeat things. The woman working never once got impatient. A nice little touch was that at the end, when the other person spoke to me, he called me by name for my order, then used my name again when asking if I wanted a drizzle of sauce on the top. It was seriously just the right amount of personalizing the experience for a fast food pizza place.
I didn't know what to expect of the pizza itself for the price, but it was really quite good. I honestly prefer less toppings, so when I asked for extra cheese, and she only put a bit more on, it was perfect. That said, when I DID ask, I never once got a hint of resistance or annoyance. I have no doubt that if I had continued to ask she would have put more on. It's a style I like quite a bit. It means the customization is actually to your taste, and they will take the time to make it EXACTLY right, not just rush you along like every other fast food place known to man.
The pizza was exactly the feast I needed to kick off my weekend, and the blood orange lemonade is to die for.
