Tim Hortons always gives me a good impression, but unfortunately not today. A supervisor ruined my Saturday morning.
Me and my wife visited here for breakfast. She had a free coffee reward on her tim horton card. She ordered a breakfast meal and when the supervisor asked if she wanted to use her free coffee reward, she said she would keep it. Because she wanted to keep it for later and get a new star for now. After we got our food, she checked her Tim Horton reward and found out she didnt get a star.
So she asked to the supervisor whom took her order. The supervisor said my wife didn't want to redeem free coffee, so there's no star. It totally didn't make sense at all. So she asked again, "i chose getting a star instead of redeeming but i got nothing." Suddenly the supervisor's voice got loud and started to yell to my wife. She said because my wife didnt want to redeem she can't give us a star.
We still couldn't understand why. Anyway we paid for our food. But because we didn't want to redeem our free coffee, so we can't get another star?
Eventually, the supervisor brought my wife to POS and refunded the purchase and then retried it. When she scanned our card, the POS asked if we want to redeem a free coffee and then if we don't wanna use it, there's no more action in the POS. That's what the supervisor explained to us.
If we knew it before ordering, or if the supervisor told us if we didn't want to use our free coffee redeem now, anyway we would get nothing for this purchase, this situation might not be happened. However the supervisor didnt explain it. and then when we asked why, she chose to yell us. After listening to her explanation, we chose to use our free coffee reward.
We felt very bad and uncomfortable but my wife said sorry because anyway we made the supervisor refunds it and go through again. But the supervisor never said sorry. I still cant believe the supervisor's behavior. She didnt explain enough and even yelled us. Seriously she seemed to get a customer service training again instead of training other workers.
I don't want to say negative things for Tim Hortons, but this store? i won't visit...
Read moreSo this is what u get at Tim Hortons for $14.35. This is the large blt. I asked if it cones with mayo and they said yes. I guess it’s not included as I paid .30 cents extra for it. I ordered sprinkle donut and was charged additional .70 on my receipt I was charged for a Cadbury eggs donut. I did splurge and upgraded to a peach juice as well for .76 cents. I understand the extras but communication failed or idk what happened between this donut and this mayo charge. The Sandwich bread was very hard and dry. It wasn’t even warm it was by far the worst sandwich I’ve ever had at a Tim Hortons.
Oh I also ordered 3 carrot muffins which they had I could see them. I thought they were included in the total price w/ meal. So after I paid I recieved donut and asked for the muffins. He replied “I didn’t charge you for muffins I thought u thought you changed your mind”. During the conversation a carrot muffin sold leaving only 2 remaining for my 3 kids that were with me. Anyone with kids knows how it went after that. I ended up giving up the donut (if anyone cares to know the outcome). Anyways here I am. I hate leaving negative reviews. But I’m not going to be t to my wife and it feels better getting this out. To conclude this review after we sat down and started to eat my 6 yo daughter needed a drink so I asked for a cup. Any size cup works just to share my juice with kids. Original guy that I dealt with was gone so the girl asked me to repeat and I said “could I please have a cup to share my peach juice with my kids. Any size or style of cup works”. She turned and talked to a coworker and came back and said .11 cents please. I just couldn’t believe it. I had kids there and said ok I dictation put .11 cents on my card thanks. I told daughter she will have to wait and then all kids were thirsty so had daughter staff in line while I went to truck and got change to purchase a cup. Read moreSo I’m on a lunch break and I head to this Tim Hortons location. I wait in line for 3 minutes and start to notice that the front end order Clerk is having issues with his job, perhaps he’s still in training but it’s costing some customers to become heated and frustrated. I look to my left and the supervisor is dealing with an angry couple, I look to my right and the food prep girl and front end trainee are in a discussion with another couple about their order being wrong. I wait another 4 minutes in total and finally the trainee can take my order, but another fellow in front has to come back to pay extra for his order because said trainee did not ring it up properly. I politely step aside and let them conduct their business as I am a very patient person. As I’m waiting again I notice that the food prep girl is all over the place dealing with all sorts of customer and order related situations, I am very impressed by her zeal and her professionalism as well as her will and strength to move at such dashing speed to handle any and all issues before they escalate out of control. Again it is my turn to order and I do but the trainee makes a mistake and again the food prep girl comes to the rescue. I watched as she filled orders and bagged bagels and created the food items all while dealing with even my situation. I just want to thank this girl whose name I found out is SHANIA. She is without a doubt one of the best Tim Hortons Employees I have ever witnessed and she was very kind, courteous, and polite with a smile when handing me my order. I even watched her take verbal abuse from a customer because his order was not to his liking and she professionally dealt with him and calmed him down to a point where he just walked away content. TIM HORTONS you need to hire people based on this girls hard work ethics, and professionalism.
