UNA pizza + wine Calgary: Broadcast — Restaurant in Calgary

Una is one of my all time favourite local eateries, so I visit frequently with my beloved ones. I’ve come to notice that whenever I visit with my family, the service isn’t as great as the times that I visit with my partner. When I’m with my family, the order is taken very late, drinks/ cutlery do not arrive until after our food has come out, and quality checks are infrequent. This week I visited and I noticed that our table was the only table in the section that did not receive our drinks as soon as the order was taken. I also noticed that the table near ours was offered new dishes after the appetizers, whereas we weren’t given the same treatment. We had ordered a few appies that resulted in a mixture of different sauces on the plate, but no such offer was provided for our table. As a consequence of the lack of service every time we visit, my family members do not share the same affection towards Una as I do. I love to spend a good portion of my time enjoying the food and company at the restaurant, but when I am with my family, I can’t help but to hurry and leave the place as we feel quite disrespected. It is very unfortunate that I will have to resort to takeout/other restaurants as I do not tolerate the lack of respect that is shown...

We had a large (20 ppl) dinner party for a birthday celebration recently. They were extremely accommodating of our large party. The service was great and the booking process was very easy, even with our large group.

My fiancée and I ordered the arancini, tiki pizza and tagliatelle. The arancini was to die for, it was perfectly fried and very rich and tasty on the inside. The tagliatelle which I believe is made in house was great as well! It had a great bouncy texture and was cooked perfectly. However, I found the tomato sauce to be a bit boring. A bolognese would have paired well with the tagliatelle. I am giving this rating four stars as we did not enjoy our pizza. We ordered the tiki pizza and the crust was extremely soggy. The flavour of the pizza was great, but it was so hard to pick up and eat that I had to eat it on my plate with a fork and knife. Other diners from our party ordered various other pizzas that did seem to have a better crust than ours.

Despite this, I am impressed with how quickly the kitchen was able to make out our food, all at the same time even with our large party. The service was great and the pricing is fair. I would definitely recommend Una, especially the...

Updated for our take out experience: We ordered the veggie pizza and gnocchi. Food was ready right on time and it was perfect! Veggie pizza was awesome and I believe it was honey on it that really made it stand out. Gnocchi was in a small container but delivered on the flavor and was very filling. We typically order take out on Fridays and Una was the first place in months to have 5/5 service and 5/5 food.

Great to see UNA in the west. We have ordered from here a number of times over the last couple of weeks. The food is great and the staff is equally as great. Walking out from our first time dining, I think every staff member including the bar staff thanked us. Great seeing a local business putting in so much effort with their customer service and knocking it out of the park with their food. Notable dishes for us are the whipped ricotta, brown butter cauliflower, and the mushroom pizza. Could use a more diverse beer list but that is just me being picky. Also could a pizza place have a better logo? would be interested in merch with the pizza...
