Bacchus Greek Grill — Restaurant in Cambridge

My wife and I both enjoy Greek food, especially chicken souvlaki. We read that Bacchus just opened and that the owner chose to offer authentic Greek food and to focus on take out dining. We ordered two souvlaki dinners for pickup at 4:30 pm. The food was ready when we arrived. My wife was pleased to note the clean and attractive interior. The service was prompt, friendly and eager to make us repeat customers. We arrived home and dove into the food. We did notice how well packed everything was. The salad was packed in its own container with the dressing also separated. Food was still nice and warm. The souvlaki had lots of flavor, the chicken was still moist, and had a pleasant amount of char from the grill. Tatziki was freshly made and complimented the chicken perfectly. Traditional roasted potatoes, lemon rice, and some pita completed the dinner. We had more than we could finish, as the servings were generous. A very good dinner that we do look forward to...

Bought dinner last night for me and my Boyfriend from here. I absolutely was thinking it was worth the wait to grab food from here finally now that they are open. We were eating food and we noticed my chicken wasn't cooked fully. I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me. So around 4am I wake up to rush to the washroom to empty my stomach violently. I have been fighting a horrible battle with my stomach all day. Reason I'm sure it's here was because my boyfriend isn't sick. He never ate the chicken. Probably won't be ordering from here again. I'm unsure how they clean their booth either, because it's not the cleanest environment to serve from. I don't know if it's just me. But I could see how unclean most of the things were. I was originally going to try a different Greek place in Cambridge (won’t name names) because I had not ever heard of Bacchus before, but they were not open on Sunday and Bacchus was. Hesitantly, I got the chicken breast souvlaki family 4 pack and it was phenomenal. I don’t toss the word “phenomenal” around very often either. It was packaged as one bag of hot items and the other bag all the cold items. I appreciate that they took the extra step to consider how well the food would travel. No one wants a salad made saugy by the dish of hot rice below it regardless of how good it is. The two that were working were excellent as well. The food fed my party of 4 adults and there was plenty of leftovers for my wife and I the next day. I thought about my leftovers for lunch at work all morning. ...
