The Galt Club — Restaurant in Cambridge

Three stars for the three times I had my meal brought to the table. I had a mixed green salad with pear, grape, candied walnuts and goat cheese for 10 bucks, for an extra 6 I ordered it with chicken. The salad was heavy with dressing. The mixed greens were drooping under the weight of the dressing, the chicken was a small little fillet, and the goat cheese was less then a 1/2 tablespoon. Okay. I sent the salad back citing too much dressing, asking for the dressing on the side. A few min later the same salad came back on a smaller plate dressed exactly the same way. I sent that back too, restating dressing on the side. It finally came back with dressing on the side, while my partner was just about done his meal (three chicken fillets breaded with sauce on mashed potatoes and corn for 26 dollars. He enjoyed it very much). The salad dressed properly, with a more reasonable amount of goat cheese and walnuts was great. My only remaining complaint was 6 dollars for about 6 bites of chicken, but whatever...The collingwood pilsner on tap was good and the Korean bbq beer battered cauliflower we had as...

Went here twice in the last few weeks. Both times the waitress was friendly and asked us if we wanted more beer when we were getting close to finishing it.

The first time I had the daily special which was pulled pork taco. It was a little different than I thought it would be, the meat wasn't really pulled that much and little sauce on it. However it was very delicious and I was happy with it.

The second time I went I got the Hot Chicken Wings. I found that it was not hot at all, although I really enjoy spicy food so you may find it hot. Also though the temperature of the wings themselves were not that hot which was kind of disappointing. Overall though they tasted good and are good size wings.

The menu does have a lot of fancy/expensive food like duck confit. They have a large selection of beer on tap, over 20+ kinds! If your a beer drinker it would be a nice place to go to have a pint.

This place is also called 'Thirteen' now not Cafe 13.

There is a patio seating, and the inside had a nice decor with different pictures and things...

I spent a great evening on the 2nd floor last night, we were both amazed at the meal we had. The salads were delicious and fresh. Our pizza, we both commented, was one of the best and freshest (if that’s a word) we’ve had. The wine (we both ordered white wines off the menu) was delicious. Jackie was our server and she was sweet, attentive and gave us some great options too.. I can’t wait to go back! NOTE: Local Tap Room is on the 2nd floor and has a different vibe than the main floor which is called Local 13. I thought I would share that because photos of the main floor and 2nd floor are shown in the same album but are 2 different spaces...I felt the 2nd floor was a notch above the main floor in terms of decor...
