I’m usually someone who tries to find the positives, even in not so great situations but I’m struggling to do that this time.
We walked in and the café was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. We placed our order, two breakfast sandwiches and a black coffee, to go. The coffee came out quickly and the service at first was friendly and upbeat, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, the food took over 30 minutes. We waited patiently, assuming ours would be ready any minute, but continued to watch other orders come out while ours never did. After about 45 mins, a staff member finally came over and apologized, saying there had been an issue with the internet and our order had only just started being made. She offered us two free donuts as compensation, which was kind, but I had already seen our order print and hang with the others at the time we paid, so I know it wasn’t an internet issue.
I appreciated the offer, but I can’t eat donuts, and there was no alternative offered. In the end, I paid $30 for two basic sandwiches and a plain coffee, and spent over an hour waiting. I understand things get busy and there were only two staff on, but this was excessive.
The most disappointing part? The food just wasn’t worth the wait. The sandwiches were average at best, no fresh items, croissants pulled from plastic containers. Honestly, I could’ve made the same meal at home, probably better, and definitely cheaper.
I’m not sure I’d return, which is disappointing because I really wanted to like this place. If you’re on any kind of schedule or looking for value, I’d proceed with caution.
RESPONSE TO OWNER:
Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and for issuing a refund, it truly speaks to your character and integrity. I understand you were quite busy, and I apologize for not realizing that two different tickets had been printed. It wasn’t fair of me to assume otherwise without knowing the full details, but frustration can sometimes cloud judgment.
Your honesty and willingness to make things right mean a lot, and because of that, we’ll definitely be back for a second visit. We’re looking forward to giving it another try and will happily update our review afterward if needed. Thanks again for your professionalism and...

(Brussels) There are many different ways to eat your waffle, even as an egg sandwich. They offer some gluten-free options. They sell Lady Glaze donuts and No Udder vegan ice cream. It has window stools, a lovely alcove for hiding away and several comfy chairs. The environment is great. The staff is family-run and they are quite friendly and accommodating. If you're looking for a small, local cafe, this is the place. They have a liquor license. There are outlets available. Back entrance available through...
Read moreAbsolutely loved our visit to Flight Café! The latte and cappuccino were so good, they practically flew off the table (pun intended). We tried two sandwiches that were so tasty, which made us order seconds just to prolong the experience. And the waffle? Perfection! Topped with strawberries, homemade sauce, and whipped mascarpone that was so delicious, it deserves its own fan club. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting – the kind of place you accidentally spend hours in. Highly recommend if you’re looking to take your taste buds on a first-class trip! Plus, the staff were incredible! So nice and full of positive vibes making the experience...
