Re: ALLERGIES
Two of my daughters have severe allergies and we understand that no restaurant can guarantee that there wonāt be cross contamination. We get that. But restaurants need to have BASIC allergy protocols in place so that families with allergies can feel safer with less risk.
I came in on Thursday, May 1 around noon and I placed my order. I told the woman about the allergy. I asked if she could get the person making it to wash their hands, to get a fresh pitcher and to get ice from the back. She seemed overwhelmed by this simple request, but agreed.
I did not see her communicate this with anyone else.
I stood at the end of the counter and asked a guy to please let me know when he was making my order since it was an allergy and I wanted to review the protocols with him. He seemed annoyed and said yeah ok. I asked if he could wash a pitcher so we'd have a fresh pitcher. He replied "well that's going to take at least 15 minutes" and sighed. I said that was fine and that I would wait.
He then proceeded to start making the drink without talking to me about 10 minutes later. I said "I wanted to chat with you first - do you mind washing your hands first"? He replied "well my hands donāt touch the actual drinkā!!!!!
I asked to speak to the manager. The woman said "you can speak to me", but didn't confirm if she was actually the manager. I told her what happened, and she said "well we don't usually have to do this many things for an allergy and you do realize we can't guarantee cross contamination". I said that I realized this, but wanted them to do THREE SIMPLE THINGS to reduce the possibility.
They finally remade the drink (plus two other drinks), seemed annoyed and frustrated with this simple request, didn't wash their hands, or use fresh ice. I asked them to remake it and they couldn't understand why. I took the drink, left and threw it in the garbage.
This is ridiculous and I won't be visiting this store ever again.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI sent my boyfriend in with my online order confirmation. When he wen to the counter, he showed the girl the receipt and said he was there to pick up an order for me. She said that there was a balance on the order. He explained no, she paid online and it took a few minutes if explaining for the girl to finally understand that it was a paid order. She pointed to the counter where my drink was sitting there, whipped cream spilling out the lid and all over the counter. He asked a different girl to fix it because it was all melted. (Let it be known I was only 3 minutes late from the recommended pickup time) and she just brought him a new lid. He lifted the old one and all the whipped cream spilled out and when he asked her to fix it she refused and said that because he touched the lid she couldnāt do anything about it. Once he cleaned up the cup and was putting the new lid on, she said that he āneeds to get it off the counterā and made him clean up the whipped cream that was all over the counter because my drink wasnāt prepared or stored properly. It was watery and had a small drizzle of whipped cream left. We threw it out when he brought it back to the car. A waste of money and time. Will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs much as I love Starbucks, all I have to say is the drinks are never consistent. When you pay this much for coffee, you expect consistency and quality. Probably four out of six trips I will have to call customer service and have a refund applied because my coffee is completely wrong or not made correctly. I don't even complicate my drink, it's pretty much right off the menu. Not sure why this is a constant problem but their Baristas don't appear to have correct training. If a drink recipe is one way, it should always be that way. Unless someone specifically changes it to personalize it, it shouldn't change. So if any Baristas or staffers are reading this, please, try and keep your drinks consistent. This is one of the biggest beefs I have when it comes to Starbucks. If you aren't going to give out quality every damn time then it should be reflected in...
