I cannot express adequately how disappointed I was with this meal. My sister and I were visiting Port Stanley yesterday so we Googled "best fish and chips in Port Stanley" and Barnacles came up. We called in our order at 7pm and were told it would be ready in an hour....so we thought "great! It'll be made fresh". Boy were we wrong! As you can see in the photo the fries are WAY overdone, the salad is limp and what you CAN'T see in the photo is that everything was cold! Except the coleslaw, that was warm as was my Caesar salad. We ordered the pickerel platter....not only were we disappointed by how little we received but you could immediately taste that it wasn't freshly made. And look at the pathetic portion of calamari (can you even distinguish that as calamari??)!!! We would have had a better meal at McDonald's!! So so so so so disappointed!!! I do NOT recommend this restaurant.

Yea stopped in unplanned after a necessarily abbreviated spell on Port Stanley beach scouring for glass and fighting 70km winds on a sunny winter afternoon. Small and intimate beach town gem, sparsely, but tastefully decorated. Sat at the bar and watched Grey Cup pregame and NFL football on a Sunday. Bevies are typical fare and reasonably priced. Food is reasonably priced and generous. Nachos are outstanding and extra salsa and sour cream are complimentary and the breaded pickerel lunch was massive and fabulous. Service attentive and warm. Janeiro the bartender was fantastic and a budding horror movie writer. Highly recommend.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Barnacle Restaurant in Port Stanley, and I must say, it truly is a hidden gem! From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at ease.

Our server was absolutely phenomenal, providing attentive and friendly service throughout our meal. They were knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations based on our preferences. We felt well taken care of and appreciated the extra effort they put into making our dining experience memorable.

One thing that really stood out was how quickly the food came out. Despite the restaurant being busy, our orders were prepared and served in a remarkably short amount of time. The kitchen staff at The Barnacle Restaurant truly knows how to deliver efficiency without compromising on quality.

Speaking of quality, the portions at The Barnacle Restaurant were nothing short of spectacular. Each dish was beautifully presented and generously portioned, leaving us feeling completely satisfied. The flavors were exceptional, and it was evident that the ingredients used were of the highest quality.

If you're planning a visit to Port Stanley in the near future, I highly recommend checking out The Barnacle Restaurant. It's a delightful hidden gem that offers not only fantastic food but also exceptional service. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a casual meal with friends, The Barnacle Restaurant is sure to exceed your expectations.

Thank you, Barnacle Restaurant, for an unforgettable dining experience in...

Let me start with how long we waited for burned dry food we got to the restaurant and waited at least 10 min for someone to acknowledge we were there and another 10 minutes for someone to seat us we got sat down and it took close to 20 min for a server to come take our order I order a burger with no bacon and the server made a huge deal about it and she said can I put the bacon on the side as if she can’t get rid of it 🤦🏻‍♀️ we asked for 2 ice teas and one water took them another 20 min to bring the ice teas and close to one hour to bring us the water 😂 the only person in our table who order the water had to wait an hour to get it and in top of it no one told us when we got sat that it was going to be at least a 45 min wait for the food which it actually ended up being over an hour no one ever came to check on us not even once and when the server finally came to the table was just to let us know that the food was coming soon which after she came it ended up being another 20 min and when we finally got the food the burger were absolutely dry and the fries were hard and burned if you can avoid this restaurant do yourself a favor and go to another replace this place is trash and the service is awful as well as the...

Took us a total of 1.5 hours to get our food -we were seated and then at least 15 minutes later the waitress came and we placed our order; then 20 minutes later the waitress came back with a beer and waters (we had also ordered chocolate milk for our kids, but were then informed they were out), she then told us that our order had been misplaced and never made it to the kitchen so we ordered again (garlic bread, wings, and mozzarella sticks)... Another 30 minutes goes by and our food comes, but the kitchen forgot the mozzarella sticks, so waitress tells us she put in a rush request for them. After finishing the food we got, and still not getting the mozzarella sticks, we decided to cut our losses and leave. The waitress offered to pay for our meal, but she really shouldn't have had to. Overall the food that we did receive was alright for low grade pub food, certainly would not recommend this restaurant considering all of the other eateries within a...
