One star for cleanliness, one star for good service to customers, but no compassion for human life. As my hubby and I walked up to this A&W the other day we both noticed a young man digging through the garbage can for scraps of food. This is not an area to find recyclables so we knew he was hungry. We proceeded inside as we waited for our order we overheard the staff complaining about him, saying he was harassing customers, which I'm not sure was true. One staff member ran outside yelling "You can't be here, get off the property! Go! Get out of here!" I understand his presence may have made some of the customers uncomfortable but I feel the reason they are uncomfortable is that they are self-conscious about helping others. We left with our order and offered the young man a meal which he happily took, we chatted with him while he ate and learned a bit about his situation. As staff members cowardly watched from inside. Please don't be so quick to judge someone, we need to embrace the need of our fellow people. So disappointed in the compassion of the staff here for a...
Read moreUpon landing in Toronto, I dined at one of Canada's renowned fast-food chains. The meal I had was not only delicious but also exemplified exceptional cleanliness standards. This experience left a lasting impression on me. The restaurant's reputation preceded it, and it certainly lived up to its acclaim. As I savored my meal, I couldn't help but appreciate the attention to detail in both taste and hygiene. It was evident that maintaining a high level of cleanliness was a priority for the establishment, which contributed significantly to the overall dining experience. From the moment I entered, I felt welcomed and reassured by the cleanliness of the premises. Every aspect of the restaurant, from the seating area to the restrooms, was meticulously clean. This attention to cleanliness not only enhanced my enjoyment of the meal but also instilled a sense of trust and confidence in the brand. Overall, my first meal experience at this fast-food chain in Toronto was truly memorable, thanks to its delicious food and impeccable...
Read moreI often stop at this A&W, but his past Friday I walked up to the counter to order (aprox 1:10 pm) A young woman was working the till. And a young man was on the headset for the drive through. Both did not acknowledge me, I could see the woman was focused on her til. However there was no line-up, I was the only person standing there. Another employee came from the back, and asked me if I had been served, I stated no, so she turned to the young woman and said, "you serve her as I need to use the bathroom" and off she went. What bothered me is the young woman did not acknowledge me, if she had told me she was having a problem with the till or that she would be with me shortly....nothing. I stood there for three or four bathroom breaks. Finally I turned and left, I took my business else where, and will tell other of this really bad service. The restaurant it's self was not busy, there were perhaps 3 tables of customers and no one waiting at the...
