Atmosphere - This was in a cute location and we randomly decided to stop there as we were waiting for another place to open. The inside seems a bit small so we opted for outdoor seating. I did hear the server tell another customer they were in the process of getting heaters. This will be nice as even though it was a nice day the wind and the shade from the other building made it quite chilly. Service - Our server was a young male who did his best. The items coming out was a bit slower than I am used to but he was jovial and apologetic and kind and that goes a long way. Food - The chips and flight of salsa's was a nice treat and very appreciated. They were what you would expect. We started with the Toquitos Con Mole and they were so good, they were crispy and moist and topped with deliciousness. We all got the same thing, The Famous Taco Loco. My fiance and I got ours normal but my daughter who has a food aversion to sauces requested hers without any other the sauce that comes on it. They did mess up on that and give us hers unsubstituted and my fiances without the sauce but the server was quite attentive and apologetic and was able to fix the error quickly. They were fairly good, definitely think more sauce from my standpoint to elevate the flavour profile a bit more. We got the Churro Icecream Sandwich to end the meal and they were very gracious in assiting us with splitting one for my daughter and I as we cannot eat a whole one to ourselves after the meal. They were able to make it open faced which was helpful and they were gracious in doing so. I will say my fiance attempted to eat his unaltered sandwich and he ended up having to open it up and eat it open faced as it was definitely too big even for his mouth and quite the messy meal when it gets squished from biting. However the price of caramel and guac are way overpriced from my perspective. The caramel just tasted like normal caramel and while I did not have the guac I think it is about a dollar too much even a dollar seventy five too much. Other than that though it was good and the whole meal a grand affair. Pretty good food but excellent top notch service.

Nestled in a charming location, Hugo’s Mexican Kitchen welcomed us with open arms and tantalizing aromas. From the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance was inviting, with vibrant colors and rustic décor that transported us to the heart of Mexico. As we settled into our seats, the anticipation for the culinary journey ahead grew with each passing moment. Our server greeted us warmly, and we wasted no time in placing our drink orders, eager to sip on some refreshing beverages while perusing the menu. However, there was a slight hiccup in the timing. Despite our enthusiasm, it took just over 20 minutes for us to place our food order. While it didn't dampen our spirits, we couldn't help but notice some patrons waiting at the door became restless and eventually departed. Nevertheless, once our orders were in, the wait was well worth it. Each dish that graced our table was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and authenticity. From the savory tacos to the mouthwatering enchiladas, every bite was a celebration of Mexican cuisine at its finest. Despite the minor delay in service, the overall experience at Hugo’s Mexican Kitchen was nothing short of delightful. The food, the ambiance, and the friendly staff all combined to create a memorable dining experience that we won't soon forget. We'll definitely be returning for another taste of their delicious offerings and hoping for a smoother service flow next time.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hugo’s, a fantastic Mexican restaurant that truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable , attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced. The food was nothing short of amazing, and the presentation elevated the experience even further. We started with the Guac and Chips, which were served with such elegance that it felt almost too pretty to eat …almost. The guacamole was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and paired wonderfully with the crisp, house-made chips?.Next, we tried the Famous Taco Loco, a vegetarian delight that was bursting with flavor and easily one of the best tacos I’ve ever had. The star of the meal, though, might have been the Burrito Ahogado. It was packed with bold, rich flavors and so filling that it left me completely satisfied yet somehow still craving more. The drinks were just as impressive. The Piña Colada was creamy and tropical, the La Paloma had a refreshing zing, and the margarita flight? Absolutely yummy, each one a little masterpiece of its own. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and drinks are this spot on, but Hugo’s nails it. If you’re looking for a Mexican dining experience that combines incredible flavors, fancy cocktails, and top notch service, Hugo’s is the place to go. I can’t wait to come back!

i was thoroughly disappointed in the customer service here.

i speak very highly of hugos to everyone thats looking to eat somewhere, based off my experience at their other location across town. i was exited to go again expecting that same amazing overall service. i was wrong, however. the hostess right off the bat gave me such a judgemental look before a word was exchanged and it made the whole experience feel uninviting. she seems to avoid me, and when she did talk she wouldnt make eye contact and made it clear other customers were of her upmost priority. i saw she treated the other customers fairly, but for some reason when it came to me she rushed and was fairly rude. the energy she put off was incredibly unprofessional and should be fixed so all customers feel welcome and heard.

when i asked for my bill she rushed away, talked to another employee for about 20 mins behind the bar and then finally made her way to me. she gave me another judgmental look for not tipping, as if her service was worthy of it!

the food from the kitchen was exactly how i expected it to be, props to the kitchen staff for such excellent work.

as for the environment of the restaurant, it is incredibly small and cramped. the seats by the window are very uncomfortable and people constantly brush up against you and your table just to get by, witch is not great while youre trying to eat. because of the small size of the restaurant it gets super loud very quickly, and they seem to have nothing implemented to drown out the noise. the facility was generally clean, however the small bathrooms needed tending to, and the restaurant reeked of alchohol (even at lunch time) as if you were at a club.

pros: food is great food is cost efficient location is good

cons: loud cramped mildly dirty poor service (slow, judgemental, unwelcoming) alchohol smell

if you are going to go to hugos, ud recommend the other location for...

I visited Hugo’s today for lunch around 12:30 PM, fully understanding that it’s the holiday season and the restaurant will be busy. However, the experience was not only disappointing but also demeaning.

When we arrived, we waited several minutes before the waitress with the blonde braid finally acknowledged us. Her demeanor was dismissive from the start. She asked if we wanted a table (which was obvious), told us there would be a 20-minute wait, and only took my name—no phone number or proper tracking.

After waiting the full 20 minutes, we returned to the restaurant as instructed. Despite clearly seeing us come back, the waitress didn’t approach us immediately. When she finally came over, all she said was, “Just give me a moment,” before walking away. She never returned to address us. Instead, she went behind the bar with her co-worker and started making drinks.

At that point, a group of people left, leaving an empty table. Rather than cleaning the table and seating us, both waitresses stood behind the bar, chatting and occasionally glancing at us. Does it really take two people to make a drink? To make matters worse, the waitress didn’t even appear busy during our entire wait—she spent most of her time standing around or behind the bar. The drinks could have waited; clearing the table and seating us should have been the priority.

If she had come over, apologized for the wait, and explained she needed to clean the table before seating us, we would have been empathetic. Instead, her dismissive behavior and complete lack of courtesy made us feel unvalued as customers.

Feeling frustrated and disrespected, my group decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. This experience left a terrible impression, and I won’t be returning to Hugo’s. Customers shouldn’t feel neglected or demeaned by inattentive and...
