Last Sunday night, my family and I visited KFC with high hopes for a delightful meal. Unfortunately, our experience turned out to be quite disappointing. As we were dining inside the restaurant, we were shocked and disturbed to witness a rat scurrying through the dining area and even making its way into the kitchen.
Feeling concerned for both our safety and the restaurant's hygiene standards, we immediately approached the staff to bring this alarming issue to their attention. To our dismay, they nonchalantly brushed off our complaint, laughing it off as if it were an insignificant matter. This lack of seriousness and accountability on the part of the staff left us feeling incredibly let down.
Rats pose a serious health and safety risk, and witnessing one in a restaurant is utterly unacceptable. The fact that the staff seemed unfazed and unconcerned only added to our disappointment. We had expected better from a well-known chain like KFC, and this incident has certainly shaken our trust in their commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for their customers.
The handling of this situation by the staff reflects poorly on the overall management and culture within the establishment. As loyal patrons, we genuinely hope that KFC takes immediate action to rectify this matter and ensures that such incidents do not recur in the future.
Despite being fond of KFC's food, this unsettling experience has left us questioning whether we will return to dine at this particular location. It is essential for a restaurant to prioritize the health and safety of its customers, and this incident has, unfortunately, tarnished our perception of the restaurant.

Firstly, I was locked outside. The staff didn’t unlock the doors, a customer inside unlocked it for me. Check footage on the CCTV October 26, 2023 at 11:30am. The customer inside had to tell the 3 staff members to keep their doors unlocked for customers. Secondly, I ordered a cheese quesadilla meal. The quesadilla was burnt and black on one side and the fries were brown and cold; check the cameras again of me showing the staff member. She threw it and remade it. Then the quesadilla was missing the sauce, the MANAGER said that it’s not supposed to have sauce, (check the ingredient list on the website), then she said she doesn’t know much about Taco Bell.. Check the cctv again for her comment. Does KFC/Taco Bell hire anyone? She has no background on Taco Bell but she’s a manager?! How? Then she remade it and made a comment to me that “she’s made you the same quesadilla 3x”! Why wasn’t it made properly the first time? It was for my 1.5 year old special needs son. I showed her on my phone, the time of the first interaction until the time I was waiting at the front desk for the first order, it was 25 minutes. She took 5 peoples order before mine. At last, after waiting nearly 30 minutes, my son wouldn’t sit to eat anymore and ran away from the table and food. This was the worst experience, and she was yelling at me the whole time because she and her staff couldn’t get a simple 2 ingredient questions right and gave my 1 year old burnt fries. Read moreI don't have the highest expectations for Taco Bell. I don't expect high end Mexican food and I love Taco Bell for what it is. However, the Chilliwack location is terrible. I have never had good service there! Tonight was no exception. First, we waited about 10 minutes at the counter without even being acknowledged. Finally a woman turned to us and said, "were these for here or to go?". I told her whatever she was referring to was not our food because we hadn't even ordered yet because no one had helped us. She continued to pack up what she was working on and then proceed to take the order of the man in line behind us! I interjected that we hadn't been helped yet and that he was behind us and she didn't even apologize. She finally took our order and thenit took about fifteen minutes before it was ready. When we got our order it was missing the Cinnabon Delights we had ordered for dessert so I had to go back up to get them. Again, no apology. Then when we went to get drinks, something was off with the fountain pop machine. Flavours were out of stock and the few that were available tasted watered down and flat. Then my fries supreme had two tiny little tomato cubes... That's it.
