I love Taco Bell. I've been to most of their locations in western Canada and this one is consistently bad. On my most recent visit there were two people in line in front of me, it took the three employees standing at the counter 10 minutes to get their orders (of a single item each) placed. Finally, my turn! I can already taste the delicious Fries Supreme. The fellow taking my order got really confused about my order of a cheese quesadilla and Fries Supreme with beans instead of beef. Seriously. It took him 15 minutes to figure out how to place it in the computer, he kept telling me that he didn't really understand Taco Bell's menu despite having worked there for months. Finally he achieved success and proudly announced my total would be $18.88. For a single combo. It took another 10 minutes for him to figure out that he had rung in many other items that I hadn't ordered, and then deleting them from the computer apparently requires significant training in computer science.
15 minutes after that my food was ready! I'm 50 minutes into my Taco Bell visit at this point, this is the most time I've ever spent in a Taco Bell. I open up my Fries Supreme, so excited to eat them but tragically I see they've covered them in beef, not beans. I went back to the counter, explained the mistake, and to their credit the counter staff got me a new order of Fries Supreme within a couple of minutes. I open that one up, only to see that it's missing the sour cream. Another trip to the front, I hear some yelling between a cook in the back and the woman working the counter - he was loudly and profanely insisting he had put sour cream on the order despite her holding the sour cream-less food in front of him. They came back drenched in sour cream. I don't care at this point, I'm so hungry.
I open up my quesadilla bag to find that it's cut into 4 slices, one of which is about half of the entire quesadilla, the other 3 all of varying shapes and sizes. Whatever, it's not going to impact the taste. Took my first bite expecting Taco Bell bliss and the quesadilla tasted like bacon, not tortilla and cheese. I've never had a bacon flavoured quesadilla, I don't recommend it, even for people who like bacon.
I live in a city that doesn't have a Taco Bell in it, so the few times a year I'm somewhere that does have one I'm really excited, but I can't imagine I'll be going to the Chilliwack location ever again.
TL; DR - took an hour to get my food, staff couldn't work the computer, food was incorrect two-three times, frustrating experience for...
Read moreI am never inclined to leave a review but our experience last night prompted me to leave some sort of comment. Honestly I don't even know where or how to begin, it was like walking into another dimension. Somewhere where chaos, confusion and stifling awkwardness reigns.
A few months ago the staff changed and we noted a huge shift in quality of service. There was a younger girl working the till, she was pretty unfriendly and didn't really seem to want to take any food orders. She was pretty unprofessional and really seemed like she did not want to be there. This behaviour was being loudly reprimanded by her shift supervisor. This exchange happened pretty much after every customer's order was placed.
Ended up missing a few things from our order as fries were tossed for being out too long and only replaced in one of our meals before being boxed up and handed off by this same girl.
Decided to go again last night and we were surprised to see this girl still working the till. We were even more surprised to see no improvement in her unfriendly behaviour and willingness to take orders. With how she was treating people last time, we truly expected to not see her the next time we went in. However this time it seems like she has gotten even worse, straight up eye rolling/ sighing while talking with a customer, no greeting, absolutely no indication that you can go up to place your order she obviously does not want to make. Watched our food packed and left sitting around on the counter by same girl, which ended up being closed up and handed off to us by someone else almost 10 mins later. The whole restaurant was a flurry of confusion with no clear order or reason to how anything was handled.
Also, no gloves worn by any of the people packaging chicken???
The whole atmosphere was extremely awkward and we almost wished we hadn't placed and paid for our order as we couldn't wait to leave.
The one star I have given is for the food, still good, but what a wild...
Read moreTerrible service. We stood at the front counter for at least 15 min, with no acknowledgement (staff made eye contact but refused to engage in conversation, and ignored all the waiting customers). When one staff FINALLY started helping one customer.. she gave major attitude. A word of advice to the staff there - you are replaceable. If you don't like working there.. get another job!! It's that simple. A little communication goes a long way - all these staff would've had to do was mention the wait times would be longer, and one staff could maybe take orders at the front, while the others worked on filling those orders in the back. I think they flat out ignored the customers, in the hopes that they'd just leave. Also - it would have taken less than a minute to write a sign to leave at the front counter, informing customers of wait times etc. But they didn't bother to do that either. The staff all looked miserable. They definitely need some additional training so they can work on their poor customer service skills! Literally the WORST service I've ever had at a fast food restaurant. Considering every other customer was also ignored / treated rudely, I'm going to assume they've now lost their business, as well as mine. It also looked super dirty in this store. I'm glad I walked out without even getting the chance to order .. I wouldn't have trusted them to make my food. I will definitely never...
