im very annoyed and disappointed, can i just start by saying after i left my first review (on the same facebook post that tricked me into going there in the first place) they took the whole post down after an hour. i usely dont give reviews or like to ramble in general but this hits a nerve for me. so if youve made it this far just take my advice and dont go there. if you want to know why keep reading. let me start off by saying im iraqi, and i showed up with me and my boyfriend and his family, all of us being middle eastern and coming from ontario where there are more shawarma places than tim hortans there, we know the difference with quality shawarma and over priced nonesense. we walked in and had some small talk with the owners wife before she took our order. i just wanted three chicken shawarmas and one beef shawarma, now after just one look at the menu we saw it was a little too pricey i mean 15 dollars each was a bit much for us coming from somewhere shawarma combos are half as much. But we said were trying to have some fun for the weekend and its alright to try something new, plus the post made it seem this was the best shawarma in town. we asked for the wraps and the combo, and i asked this lady what goes inside of the wrap, she said let+tom+pickles, we asked if it comes with garlic paste ( toom) and she said yes and asked how many(we got one for each). we waited 45 minutes in an empty store. shawarma gets sliced off a standing rotating seekh and so doesnt need more than ten mins. the beef came burnt, all the fries were cold, and not a single dot of salt on anything. i did the math on my phone before leaving and said that if 3 of us got chicken, and 1 got beef, approx 57 dollars after tax. when we go to pay they charged us 73 dollars. saying the garlic we had on the side was 2.50$ each, even though we tried to explain that we werent made aware of that when this owners wife took our order she never made that clear. now to whoever thinks this isnt that big a deal, i paid 73 dollars for an order that didnt taste even remotely decent, that had terrible presentation, cold, incredibly small and unfullfilling, and that makes me angry because your advertising and tricking the already small enough middle eastern community to come to your store since there are little to any others. thats my piece. i just hope this restaurant can take into consideration if other arabs are disliking everything in your services than you might be doing...
