Booster Juice — Restaurant in City of Spruce Grove

On the afternoon of Saturday February 5th my step daughter and myself went to the Spruce Grove Booster Juice. I said hello to a very young girl with brown hair behind the plexiglass and she extremely rudely asked “Do you have a mask?” I replied “I’m medically exempt” then she asked extremely rudely “Can I see your medical exemption?” I replied “You can’t ask to see my personal medical exemption!!!” She then said extremely rudely “well I can’t serve you without a mask” I replied “ok” then left.

I’ve been to many businesses to pick up food and they have all been polite and happy to have the business and not one was rude or ever asked me to see my medical exemption.

The Canadian Charter of Rights explicitly states the only people allowed to request medical information from an individual are medical doctors, PhD and psychologists/psychiatrists with written consent from the individual. Went in with my best friend, we felt like we were being ignored at first. It took them awhile to take my order. Once someone came to take our order she just stared at me and said absolutely nothing, I was waiting for a "hi, how can I help you today?" Or simply just a polite hello. She stared and then when I didnt step up she went "hello??" In a not so nice tone. I placed my order and waited off to the side. They didnt take my friends order and made her wait another 5 minutes. Then the girl not only made the wrong size, she went to add more and didnt blend it enough so now my smoothie is chunky. I have issues with chunks in drinks and its undrinkable to me and my husband as hes allergic. I just wasted a almost $10 drink cause the worker didnt feel the need to blend it properly. This location seems to have a very high staff turnover. Many of the new hires can't seem to follow the recipe when making smoothies. I always order the Mind Over Matcha smoothie when I go to Booster Juice. I have been to many locations and I know the taste & texture of it. At this location, they mess it up at least 75% of my visits there. It happened last Friday again. They either forget the Matcha, put too much ice or don't dose the ingredients properly. Not sure if it's about saving on the more expensive ingredients or if the new staff members need more training.
