What has happened to good service? Here is what has happened last night. We stopped at #A&W Collingwood last night on our way to the boat gig, ordered burgers and a poutine, the cheese on the poutine was frozen (not just cold, but frozen), took it back to the counter, they made another one, frozen, took it to the guy and handed him a piece of the cheese, he said that is really cold, oh really, then the manager came out to see what my problem was, I told her, so she said she could try to heat up the cheese or give me my money back, I took the money since they didn't seem to know how poutine was supposed to be and we were going to be late for the gig, the money was only for the poutine, not the meal. I think she should have done better than that. It seemed like it was my fault. I seemed to be inconveniencing them. Horrible food and horrible customer service. I know the customer isn't always right, but they aren't always wrong either. When I show you frozen cheese on poutine, you should be making sure I am happy so I might return, not making me feel like I am a problem to you. A&W Collingwood, we will never be back. Read moreI felt like a papa burger so came here for lunch. I was the only person in line for just under five minutes and was not helped so I walked out. There was one car that I could see at the drive through and there were four employees. One said "hi" but went back to serving the drive through customer. I went to Wendy's across the street instead. The place was also quite messy but not busy. One family of three at one table is all that I saw. I also saw an employee completing the customer satisfaction survey at the door. Probably to inflate positive results. I left negative ones as I left. The staff saw me walk away from the counter, having never been helped after waiting too long, and to the tablet to leave a review and still nobody asked if I could be helped or if I'd like to...

They have made a few mistakes with my orders in the past, however, always owned up and made it right with a great attitude each time.
Now, they have this manager I think, Kate.
She is Friggin phenomenal. Again, my order was mistaken, partially by myself, partially by them.
They literally walked to Pizza Pizza, asked the delivery guy to deliver it to me, and literally replaced everything.
Most people, will eat 100 times at a place and complain the 101st visit. So, I am changing this narrative.
People make mistakes, as do companies which are... Well, guess what? RUN BY PEOPLE!
