Mucho Burrito Fresh Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Collingwood

I am normally a fan of the franchise and anticipated the same kind of experience. This was a complete disaster of a dining experience. To start, the server asked me whether I wanted rice or lettuce. I told her 'lettuce'. She' opened the almost empty container of old lettuce that was a orange-y pink colour and put into my bowl. I told her I didn't want decaying lettuce so she put it back into the metal dish and began to break it up into extra tiny pieces and put it back into my bowl. I told her I'd like fresh lettuce. She told me none was available. She became annoyed that I wasn't going to eat old lettuce. I conceded by telling her that I wanted a bit of rice instead. She put in a ladle. I asked her to put everything Then the toppings fiasco came. She asked me what toppings I wanted. I told her my selections up front and then she put in a few and then told me that I had "gone over" my # of selections. Boy, why not say, you have a choice of "X" number of selections? Instead of "that'll cost 'ya"??!! Then the capper was when the fresh lettuce was replenished and I asked for it and was told I couldn't have it!!! I was furious! Bottom line: Terrible service. Decaying food. And I felt totally ripped off! What a shame--- I will really think hard about ever returning. Thumbs down. So after the kind words about "making things right" -- nothing happened....

I am always overwhelmed by the great customer service here. I met an owner last week and asked if the staff was all family. She replied that her family does work here but not all of the employees are family. And I can never tell who is the actual family and who is an employee which speaks volumes to me. The place is always spotless and I think at least 75% of the time one of the employees is actually cleaning whether it be the lobby, the stainless steel behind the cooking apparatuses under the fan or the bathrooms. Every single time I'm in there they make sure they tell me that my guacamole is going to cost me more so that I'm not surprised at the register. It's these little attention to detail things that I appreciate after being a server for so many years.

As I read some of these negative reviews I feel like it is either friends, Owners or family of those restaurants (B and P) that they are trying to get you to go to instead of here. That's like bad politics. Come and at least try it but I don't think that you're going to be disappointed with service or freshness of food. I wish I had a picture of my last burrito 2...
