Pearl Fever Tea House — Restaurant in Coquitlam

My husband went in tonight to pearl fever Coquitlam and told the barista to split the taro smoothie. He paid for a split but did not get the product paid for. We got 1 smoothie eventhough we paid for 2 ie split . And when he told the barista he was not apologetic nor offered to remake another bc they were closing within 15 mins. I called the store while I’m the parking lot that I wanted the correct order and the lady who answered did not apologize and was defensive stating “ well it seemed he was okay with it so I don’t know why you re complaining “. She told me to email and complain to head office if I had a problem . She was very rude. She closed the store at 9:55 pm and didn’t care of customer service bc it was taking time away when she can close early . I would give 0 star if the option was available

In response to owner: Thank you for your response and I understand you will side your employees as you defended them that the store was closed at the correct time but I can assure you I saw the young lady in the store turn off the OPEN sign and lock the door before 10. Also after my husband gave me the wrong order I called immediately and the lady assumed I wanted a refund and told me to email head office . I told her I did not want a refund I wanted her to make the correct order as we had paid for it and she still told me w an attitude that she will not remake it and I should contact head office. Please speak w your employees . I’ve been going to your location for 22 yrs and it was my favourite place and I’m a regular so it’s very discouraging that this happened and a very poor customer service after being a loyal customer for decades. We just discovered Pearl Fever Tea House sometime during the summer last year and after introducing a friend of ours to it, she seems to be a fan of them now. When we met up with her in Coquitlam and talked about going for bubble tea, she suggested Pearl Fever and so that's where we went.

Last time we went, it was during a BOGO promotion. Since there was no promotion this time, I had a closer look at their regular menu this time. Their offerings include: milk teas, green & black teas, specialty drinks, fruit smoothies, milky smoothies and flavoured milks.  There is also a "Create Your Own Smoothie" option where you can pick 2 flavours from a list of flavors. After picking your two flavours the next step is to choose a base from the following options: water, green tea, black tea, milk tea, whole milk, oat milk, soy milk, almond milk, cream

You can then customize your drink with different Blend Ins (eg. Oreo) or Shots (eg.Honey). Our daughter decided to try this "Create Your Own Smoothie" option. She chose Peach and Mango as her two flavor, water as her base, and lychee jelly as a topping. She loved it.

Our friend chose Tofu Pudding and I chose Honey Peach Soda. Good, solid choices but next time I might try the "Create Your Own Smoothie" option.

I was overjoyed to see that they allow people to bring in their own reusable cups and that they offer a $0.10 discount for it!

Ok I go in and asked the for a papaya smoothie with avocado but here is where it gets complicated..I asked if they could blend the avocado on it's own and place it on top of the papaya...easy right !! Well no not easy at all..I had to repeat to the order taker several times..finally she gets it...then tells me she will have to charge me double the amount..hummm..I did not agree with her as it does not make an sense at all..if I were to have it mixed together then it would be regular price...anyways after I told her this does not make sense she said that they do not make drinks this way and refused to complete my order.. I said ok no problem !! I guess you don't want our business..my hubby and I walked out...never again will they get my business.. O one more thing I forgot to add that I was there several days before and the guy did make me my yummy papaya and avocado smoothie..with honey on top..

Don't go there lousy service they do not care about what you want !! No regard disrespectful as they were talking about me as I turned to leave... They need to stop hiring cookie cutters and get some staff that have some common sense and be willing to go the extra mile...there is a lot of...
