Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Courtenay

Used to be my favorite spot pre 2023. Since then it has gone down hill fast. Every time i go in they do that tiktok trend where they cut out a slice from the middle and push the halves together to make it look like it's a whole pizza. Plus they use borderline no cheese, scarce on toppings, and the crust isn't even good. Every other place in town has better pizza, even the 7-11 across the street. And I've had the tiktok thing happen at Pizza Hut before but at least their pizza is good. This place is an absolute dumpster fire. Do not under any circumstances EVER consider eating here. The people who run it need to be tought a lesson in how to run their establishment, don't reward this...

Papa John's is one of the newest pizza restaurants in Courtenay, and it is exceptional all-around!

Papa John's offers memorable flavours with a great selection of customizable options so that everyone can find something they'll enjoy. The quality of the pizza is well above average and is on the less greasy side too.

I have placed several larger orders from here (10+ pizzas at a time) and they have always been made quickly and accurately too. The staff are always so friendly when I come in, I always have felt the service is consistently awesome here.

Everything looked fine, I was so excited because of the deal they were having. Buy one, get one free. When it came I gagged. Firstly, one of the pizzas were wrong. That's fine, that didn't bother me. What bothered me is that it smelled rancid. The dipping sauce was vile, the pizza sauce was vile. I had one slice just to make sure it's safe and it gave me shivers all night, food poisoning.

Everytime I buy from here something is wrong. The only good thing about my order was the breadsticks. I do NOT recommend papa John's unless you want to get...
