Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Courtenay

We decided to try Popeyes tonight after hearing good things and reading good reviews. However, I could not be more disappointed with it. We ordered for 4 people that included a variety of menu items but nothing out of the ordinary. we ordered online for an in store pick-up as we don't live far from the restaurant. It took nearly 40 minutes for us to get our food. In that time, I watched 2 delivery drivers return to pick up food that had been forgotten. When I got our food, the fries and popcorn chicken were ice cold, the chicken nuggets were uncooked, and the "crispy" burgers were complete mush along with an order of fries missing. I understand its not going to hot after the drive home, but it shouldn't be that cold either. Upon returning to get some fresh food, my order was once again messed up so I left without the food I paid for.

Now if the store was "busy", I would understand this, but there was maybe 1 person coming through every 15 minutes and there were 4-5 employees working. In addition to this, not a single one cleaned the restaurant. There was pop spilled all over the counters and tables, garbage on the floor inside, and garbage on the floor behind the counter. As most the reviews are good, I feel that I had an "off" night, unfortunately it was enough that I will not...

Worst customer service in town! I'm so blown away at how rudely I was treated by the young lady identifying as a manager. This is the second time this has happened to me I go through the drive-thru to order a three-piece combo I tell them that I only want breast and thigh they upcharge me for this and then throw in drumsticks instead of what I've ordered. The first time I pointed it out to her she argued with me but gave it to me and apologized. The second time she argued with me and then gave me another piece of chicken but continued to argue with me telling me that I was wrong. I explained to her that I had asked for only breast and thigh pieces and payed for this.... The moment I pointed out the mistake and showed her the drumstick she was incredibly rude and argumentative I just asked for what I paid for she would not let up and kept yelling at me that I was rude I ended up driving out of the drive-thru yelling that she was the one being rude but after this experience I will never go back. No food is worth being treated this way and having to argue for what you pay for they have the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in the valley and they would be smart to replace...

First time going to a Popeyes. The short teen working as cashier provided hands down the worst service I have ever had at a fast food restaurant. (And I never complain about service) She was so bad/rude, that it was actually kind of funny. It was a slow night but she couldn’t be bothered to even greet us. She looked at us with disdain like we were putting her out by ordering food. The same kind of look any parent of a teenager knows all to well when they ask their kid to do a chore. She stood there yawning and mumbling back our orders to us. When my son asked what kind of sides they had, she rolled her eyes and just pointed up at the sign. (And again, there was no one else in line) We were dining in but she packed it up to go. I asked for napkins and again she just stood there like a grumpy little dwarf, didn’t say a word and just pointed them out like we were idiots for not knowing where napkins were. The kitchen staff were working hard and the food was served fast. Give the kitchen workers a raise and fire the grumpy ol troll...
