A SORE disappointment. My family ordered food there tonight but didn't have time to eat there when they finally brought us our meals. It took an hour and 15 minutes before they brought any appetizers. They had one server for 8 tables. We ordered a large pizza, Chicken and spinach, kids pizza, kids tortellini, a ceasar salad and cheese fingers. The salad was so drenched in Caesar dressing that I couldn't eat it. When they brought our food an hour and a half after we sat down I asked the server to please box it up because we were out of time and I also asked her for a new salad and explained why. She boxed our food but gave me the same salad I told her I couldn't eat. The rest of the food was a huge dissapointment. The chicken and spinach was very dry and missing ingredients. The broccoli that came with was almost raw. The kids pizza was terrible. The kids tortellini portion was pathetic, easily fit in my cupped hand. The large pizza was also missing a few toppings. And the service was terrible. They seemed far understaffed even though there weren't a lot of customers. I will not be returning.

We kept passing the Bayer's Lake location and meant to go in, but found out they have moved only to the Dartmouth Crossing location. The restaurant is very clean and the team that met us was very friendly. The menu actually had quite a few choices, it made it hard to choose! Classic italian fare though. There were also gluten free options. We settled on the butternut squash arancini balls, a entree each, and we shared some tiramisu. The butternut squash arancini balls were absolutely perfect. Golden brown, balanced flavour, stuffed with cheese, and served with a delicious tomato sauce. I could have easily eaten a dozen of them. My pasta dish - as well as my husband's- were delicious. Not overcooked, not over sauced, and everything tasted fresh. The tiramisu was also really lovely. Really creamy and light! We would absolutely eat here again. Servers had a great sense of humor and were really attentive. I also very much appreciate that they use styrofoam alternatives for their takeout options.

Ate take out from here for the first time tonight. Very underwhelming bland food prepared poorly. The monte cristo sandwich was more of a chicken sandwhich with literally trace amounts of ham. The baguette, the sandwhich was made from, did not taste nor appear to be egg dipped... which is sorta critical in making a monte cristo sandwich... The veal parmigiana was copious but the noodles were clumpy and poorly cooked. The sauce was bland and poorly seasoned. The tiramisu was pretty but utterly bland. Just sweet and puffy with no real flavour. The only edible thing was the pizza we ordered. It had a nice light homemade like crust with a decent amount of sauce and cheese. The topping was a bit sparse. Drink prices were inane, 3.50$ for a can of pop as priced in doordash.

Ugh. I usually don’t leave a bad review. I just don’t review it. But after tonight and our experience…I figured I would. That I probably should leave one to be honest. I was all ready to leave an awesome review for my delicious dinner. Tonight we were a party of 13. Celebrating 2 birthdays for parents of 2 families. (In their 70’s) The birthday boy(man) was served last after most of us were through our meals. Okay, the plate broke and they had to remake it. It happens, no one’s fault, but maybe they were short staffed? That precludes the waitress that seemed uninterested, angry and at times waived her hand in frustration and walked away when we asked for a few more minutes to decide on dinner and or drinks. (So she could take orders in one fail swoop) This was my first experience there. It will be my last. The food was ok. Not bad, but good. By the time it came, we probably would have eaten anything. It was an hour and a half before hot food came. Okay so we’re a big group. Then the food came at different times for everyone.’Same with appetizers. It was a bit painful. Some came while others were already finished. It was the service that was truly awful. As a table of 13 our bill was over $800 combined with appetizers, drinks and entrees. Pre tip. So we were there to spend money. We often felt scolded by the waitress for asking questions. It was awful to be honest. It was embarrassing having to ask for our food in a take out to be scolded that she already heard me ask. (It had been 20 minutes since my ask and over an hour under a “warming light out back” since we were served 2/3 of the large pizza we ordered. Seemed weird. She ignored me again to go get the checks and at this point I figured I wouldn’t even ask as it was most likely hard as a rock after being there so long. I couldn’t believe it to be honest. She did go out back again and gave it to me prior to leaving, but to be honest we won’t be back. Which is a huge loss for La Cucina and all the business owners that were sitting at that...

First time we went it was great. We went on Sunday and I will not be back. First, my mother in law got the stuffed mushrooms which she has had before and enjoyed. Last time they were stuffed with chunks of lobster but this time it was lobster pate that everybody agreed tasted exactly like salmon. She made the waitress aware. The waitress asked the kitchen and they said it was lobster. Either stick to fresh not canned or buy another brand it was awful.

I had my heart set on pizza for dinner but they don't have any meat pizzas that don't have hot/spicy meat on it. So I decided to go to the build your own pizza option. Turns out it was worded awful on the menu and it is a cheese pizza with 3 ttoppingsat $3 a topping. I was not made aware (but I should have figured out by the look on her face) that my medium pizza with 3 toppings (even though they only put about 8 thin slices of green pepper on my whole pizza for $3) would be $30 after tax and honestly it was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. Pizza is a big portion of their menu and it's sad how awful it was, it tasted like 99 cent grocery store dough mix. Extremely tough dough.

We then got a Tiramisu because I wanted something to taste good that night which was just in a fridge precut very small and not good, zero flavor.. Like at all.. (it was my first time having it so maybe it was great to others) but I tried telling the waitress when she asked how it was and she interrupted me and gave us the bill. Overall our bill was $70 for a medium pizza, alfredo and a small slice of cake and waters.

Never again. If I'm paying premium price I should get...

The waitress who served us was great, but the younger, dark haired waitress who was helping to bring orders out, placed both our salad bowls down on our table very abruptly. To the point that they were rolling on the table. She started walking away without apologizing for the disruptive behavior, but I think she saw the reaction of the other customers at the other tables. They were staring. Then she turned around and apologized, but not sincerely. I'm not sure if she was angry at kitchen staff or what the problem was. I do know that after she left, the table close to us just shook their heads in disbelief, as we did. When she returned with our main meal, she asked who had what meal. When she laid it down, I was quick to say "try not to drop the plates so abruptly this time." She said she was sorry, but we both felt if it wasn't for the reaction of other customers, she wouldn't have turned around to apologize. We are both very polite people, and have come to this restaurant quite often and have always enjoyed the service. However, this last experience has left a bitter taste in our mouths, and we probably won't be going back anytime soon. We did mention it to our regular waitress about what had happened, but she was so busy at the time, and I don't think she fully understood what we were saying. I usually don't leave bad feedback, but both of us still cannot stop thinking about that waitress and...
