Ugh. I usually don’t leave a bad review. I just don’t review it. But after tonight and our experience…I figured I would. That I probably should leave one to be honest. I was all ready to leave an awesome review for my delicious dinner. Tonight we were a party of 13. Celebrating 2 birthdays for parents of 2 families. (In their 70’s) The birthday boy(man) was served last after most of us were through our meals. Okay, the plate broke and they had to remake it. It happens, no one’s fault, but maybe they were short staffed? That precludes the waitress that seemed uninterested, angry and at times waived her hand in frustration and walked away when we asked for a few more minutes to decide on dinner and or drinks. (So she could take orders in one fail swoop) This was my first experience there. It will be my last. The food was ok. Not bad, but good. By the time it came, we probably would have eaten anything. It was an hour and a half before hot food came. Okay so we’re a big group. Then the food came at different times for everyone.’Same with appetizers. It was a bit painful. Some came while others were already finished. It was the service that was truly awful. As a table of 13 our bill was over $800 combined with appetizers, drinks and entrees. Pre tip. So we were there to spend money. We often felt scolded by the waitress for asking questions. It was awful to be honest. It was embarrassing having to ask for our food in a take out to be scolded that she already heard me ask. (It had been 20 minutes since my ask and over an hour under a “warming light out back” since we were served 2/3 of the large pizza we ordered. Seemed weird. She ignored me again to go get the checks and at this point I figured I wouldn’t even ask as it was most likely hard as a rock after being there so long. I couldn’t believe it to be honest. She did go out back again and gave it to me prior to leaving, but to be honest we won’t be back. Which is a huge loss for La Cucina and all the business owners that were sitting at that...
Read moreFirst time we went it was great. We went on Sunday and I will not be back. First, my mother in law got the stuffed mushrooms which she has had before and enjoyed. Last time they were stuffed with chunks of lobster but this time it was lobster pate that everybody agreed tasted exactly like salmon. She made the waitress aware. The waitress asked the kitchen and they said it was lobster. Either stick to fresh not canned or buy another brand it was awful.
I had my heart set on pizza for dinner but they don't have any meat pizzas that don't have hot/spicy meat on it. So I decided to go to the build your own pizza option. Turns out it was worded awful on the menu and it is a cheese pizza with 3 ttoppingsat $3 a topping. I was not made aware (but I should have figured out by the look on her face) that my medium pizza with 3 toppings (even though they only put about 8 thin slices of green pepper on my whole pizza for $3) would be $30 after tax and honestly it was one of the worst pizzas I've ever had. Pizza is a big portion of their menu and it's sad how awful it was, it tasted like 99 cent grocery store dough mix. Extremely tough dough.
We then got a Tiramisu because I wanted something to taste good that night which was just in a fridge precut very small and not good, zero flavor.. Like at all.. (it was my first time having it so maybe it was great to others) but I tried telling the waitress when she asked how it was and she interrupted me and gave us the bill. Overall our bill was $70 for a medium pizza, alfredo and a small slice of cake and waters.
Never again. If I'm paying premium price I should get...
Read moreThe waitress who served us was great, but the younger, dark haired waitress who was helping to bring orders out, placed both our salad bowls down on our table very abruptly. To the point that they were rolling on the table. She started walking away without apologizing for the disruptive behavior, but I think she saw the reaction of the other customers at the other tables. They were staring. Then she turned around and apologized, but not sincerely. I'm not sure if she was angry at kitchen staff or what the problem was. I do know that after she left, the table close to us just shook their heads in disbelief, as we did. When she returned with our main meal, she asked who had what meal. When she laid it down, I was quick to say "try not to drop the plates so abruptly this time." She said she was sorry, but we both felt if it wasn't for the reaction of other customers, she wouldn't have turned around to apologize. We are both very polite people, and have come to this restaurant quite often and have always enjoyed the service. However, this last experience has left a bitter taste in our mouths, and we probably won't be going back anytime soon. We did mention it to our regular waitress about what had happened, but she was so busy at the time, and I don't think she fully understood what we were saying. I usually don't leave bad feedback, but both of us still cannot stop thinking about that waitress and...
