Today I visited the McDonald’s location on Nantucket in Dartmouth. I usually make a point of not Going to this location for various reasons like cleanliness. Food made in properly. Managers that think by talking over me that they are right I just chose to de-escalate instead of making the situation worse it almost seem like the manager thought she was putting on a show by the way she talk to me. Very unprofessional . I came in with my wife, my daughter and myself and you’re probably asking why I went back here after having issues before. Well, I believe in second chances, even in the food industry but unfortunately, instead of making the place a more inviting and clean location our shoes stuck to the floor every step we took. I started at McDonald’s when I was in my 20s. I started in the front of the house as a member that took orders from customers. Then, gradually I worked my way to doing fries all day to the grill making hamburgers. And then going into management so for this manager to tell me that what I am seeing and experiencing in her location is corporate policies. I say shame on her. I found McDonald’s to be one of the best morale boosting jobs I have ever done. One last note. I worked at the second most busy McDonald location next to Montreal and this was a Quinpool Road location and kempt Road was the number one busiest location from here to Montreal so it’s not like I’ve never worked in a busy location and i’ll guarantee you’ve never stuck to the floors and garbage wasn’t piling out of the receptacles. We always had a dining room person and anybody that works at McDonald’s was always told you have time to lean you have time to clean again I wish that location luck, but I won’t be participating in it . Read moreSince this location ignores any kind of feedback you give them through the website, i'll leave it here for the world to see.
when i ask for extra sauce, i do not want to ADD mac sauce. i want to have more of the sauce that's already on the burger. When i say extra, i do not mean i want a tsunami of ketchup and mustard all over the entire burger when i open the wrapper, i mean one squirt on the top.. one of the bottom. when i ask for a cup of water, i should not have to rummage through my wallet to find the stupid .10 you expect me to pay for that tapwater. if i ask for a packet of mcchicken sauce, why do i need to pay .25 for it? if i get it on my burger it's free.
This location has heating issues. the front of the store is always hot, and the back behind the kitchen is always extremely cold. the bathrooms are always a mess, and the whole store seems like it's understaffed. Drivethrough takes a long time, walking in during lunch might mean you're standing outside in the line.. and the left pop machine never has ice in it! last time i was in here they got the diet and regular cokes mixed up, the napkin holder was empty, and one of the ketchup dispensers was empty... do the employees here care that little about their jobs?
Every dartmouth mcdonalds seems the same way, this location, the location on portland st is horrible.. and so is the one on windmill road. The only acceptable mcdonalds in dartmouth IMO is the one in...
Read moreUsually this place is as expected. Recently I stopped there for breakfast at approx 615am on a Saturday morning on my bicycle commute home from a 12 hr backshift. I discovered that there was no bike rack and the entire front area and parking lot were very dark. No illumination. So I reluctantly parked my bike near a window where I could see it from inside. It was still so dark out front that i could barely see my bike. I placed my order and stood by the window to watch my bike. I commented to the morning manager that it would be nice if there was a bike rack. He replied there use to be but it was removed. When my food was ready I took it and thanked him and said it would be nice if there were lights on out front to see. He said have a nice day. When I exited I found a young male dressed in black barely 10 feet from my unlocked bike who rapidly turned heal and headed in another direction. I found this to be a terrible experience and a very near miss to a crime. I will be returning asap to have a longer chat with the head manager. In retrospect I should have rolled my bike right up to the counter and I will next time if...
