Unfortunately the last time I ordered food from here my food ended up all going in the garbage. When I started eating my sweet and sour chicken I noticed that it tasted like bleach. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this. I also noticed that the vegetables tasted rotten and were old. The pineapple tasted like it was fermenting that's how old it was so unfortunately I ended up throwing away my entire meal as I didn't want to get sick. This was pretty disappointing. This is not the first time I've eaten here and been served very old vegetables. A while back I had eaten here and had the stir fry vegetables with chicken and I am not lying the beans literally had mold spots on them and the mushrooms were so old that they were shriveled and black. I really don't know what's going on here but I am convinced that my chicken had been rinsed with bleach because it really did taste like bleach. For my health and safety I won't...
Read moreGreat Chinese food! Even to Richmond restaurant standards; for example, the sweet and sour chicken was made of moist large pieces of chicken, perfectly cooked in a quality sauce that had great flavour, without being over powering like at most Chinese restaurants. Noodles, fried rice, and beef and broccoli were all top notch quality. We got take out, and the spring rolls were still hot and crispy, impressive. Everything was still hot, which means it's prepared fresh to order, definitely tasted fresh! We ate it all, and did not feel thirsty from the MSG or sick from any excess oil (typical for Chinese food), so they have done a great job by using quality ingredients and not taking any shortcuts. Great service and prices to boot! Friendly staff who go the extra mile for you, working their best to serve quality food. Parking lot is big, and spacious, a huge plus. This is a North Vancouver gem. Highly recommended! Keep up...
Read more3 stars doesnt mean bad! I would say it is a chinese family style restaurant with north american style in it.
a lot of choices here in terms of food, we ordered 4 dishes (Green beans/ sizzlings chicken in pot/ Fried egg with bittermelon/ Deep-Fried fish and tofu in pot)
All dishes are tasty even judging them on an authentic chinese food perspective. however seasoning may be a little bit salty, and oily. but it is good if you eat them with rice, so the rice will neutralize the salty taste and oily feeling.
talked to the waitress, she said they are mainly serving the neighborhood customers, and matter of facts, during or dinner, a lot of locals coming in for dine in or take out.
I assume this restaurant has built its reputation in the hood.
Would recommend if you are looking for a casual chinese dinner...
