My go-to for the best fish and chips! Staff: friendly, always prompt to take your order. Staff must like working here, because I usually see the same people. Food: absolutely delicious! I love that the batter is light and not too thick, so you’re able to enjoy the flavor of the seafood and not loads of greasy batter. Coleslaw is good and always fresh. Fries are always piping hot and tasty, but not amazing. In my opinion, must-haves are the onion rings and prawns. They have the best house made tartar sauce, it’s no wonder they leave a full bottle at your table! I love to come with a friend and share the Dinner Platter for 2, it’s reasonably priced considering the amount of food, and it’s the perfect variety of C-Lovers best items (prawns, onion rings, halibut). Atmosphere: always very clean. This place may not be fancy, but who cares? The food is fantastic, and that’s what matters! Tips: it can be very busy Friday and Saturday nights, so be prepared. If you go one of those nights, try to arrive before 5:30pm. Thanks for staying consistent C-Lovers on Pemberton, you’re the best!

I visited North Vancouver District the first time just to try the food here. Honestly, they are best fish and chips I've ever had—better others I've had in Greater Vancouver! The in-house tartar sauce was sooo delicious as well (can squeeze out as much as I want); it had a fresh, tarty dill taste. The onion rings and oyster were good. And the tomato juice was tasty and refreshing. The mushy peas, however, were not my cup of tea (it, to me, is like a coarse base puree that's just salted). It was quite the satiating lunch; perfect for going to a hike trail afterward. Moreover, I did not need to eat dinner. As for the service, it's excellent. I liked the waitress' personality; she's chill and accommodating.

Everything excellent. The minute you walk in the door they take your name and ph# for contact tracing tables approprately spaced out plexiglass seperation sanitizer a must before being seated. Servers are friendly and aaaaaefficient!!!!. The all you can eat fish and chips, tarter sauce and coleslaw is the best i have had. Kennebec fries fresh hot and crispy fish without too much batter. They have a great team from the servers cooks & dishwasher. I highly recommend this C-lovers. I give them a 5+++++

This place was my go to fish and chip place when I'm over in the North shore, we have been coming here for years. It was always pretty good. However the last time I was there will be my last. When we arrived there were only two other tables occupied, and was not busy at all. It was a nice day and we wanted to sit near a window, but the tables were all dirty so after the waitress rolled her eyes she agreed to clean the table. I took my grandmother who is in her mid eighties because fish and chips are her favorite. Anyhow, we sat for a good 15-20 min. before she came and took are order. The food did come fairly quickly, unfortunately the fries were cold, and the fish was a little greasy and there wasn't much on the plates. When she came to check on us another 20min later, while we could see her laughing and having social time with the other waitress the whole time. I ordered more fish and chips, being I got the all u can eat deal. A good 25 min later it still never came. We decided to get up and leave, at that point, she saw us leaving and ended her social time in the back corner and rushed to the kitchen to get my order, the cook even commented to her that it was sitting there for quite some time. I told her to forget it, and we left. $40 for what, we left still hungry and went to the McDonald's across the street. I'm not blaming the owner because he probably wasn't there to watch things, but we will never return to...

Had a craving for some fish and chips, been to this location many times. Service has been alright in the last few years, except for a couple of real rude waitresses .The one waitress a brunette maybe 5.7 ft pregnant waitress . She has bn working there for years ,always gives cold evil eyes no smiles ever , no hello just a bad vibe she gives out. The other one is maybe Mexican looking average height, average weight, long black hair young lady. In all my dining experience of 40 years Ihave never witnessed this kind of rudeness . The Resturant was quite empty at 4:30 pm, it was a seat your self. I sat down and was ignored For maybe 10 to 15 min . They were standing and looking at me giving cold looks no smiles or hello , felt very awkward. The Mexican lady started cleaning a table beside me and ignored me , then the preg waitress started helping her. They bothe ignored me until I spoke out and asked the Mexican waitress if she could take my order. So she tried to ignore me and I had to raise my voice ask he again. She finally came over to my table and it was like I pissed her off . She looked like very angry!!!! no hello no smile!!! I asked her if everything was alright , she never answered, she was about to walk away,so I gave her my order .WOW!!!!...

I've been a loyal customer of this restaurant for about 9 years now.

The food, particularly the halibut dinner, has consistently been fantastic, and I’ve always appreciated the quality of the dishes, even though they are a bit on the pricey side.

However, over time, I've noticed the restaurant's appearance and cleanliness have significantly deteriorated. The interior is very old, and the tables and chairs are worn out and dirty.

On my most recent visit, things seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. Not only were the furnishings in poor condition, but there was a strong, unpleasant smell in the restaurant.

When I went to the bathroom, I discovered that the source of the odor was coming from the toilet, which was absolutely disgusting.

While the servers are generally friendly, there is one particular waitress who has never seemed to smile or offer much assistance when it comes to menu recommendations, which detracts from the overall experience.

As much as I've loved the food and have been a loyal customer for nearly a decade, sadly I won't be returning and I can no longer recommend this place to anyone.

The owner definitely needs to invest some time and money into bringing the restaurant up to a...
