Went there today ordered a burrito and the new mercado fries. while assembling my burrito they were out of fresh cheese there was only a TINY bit left of the shredded cheese in the station where they are assembling toppings. I swear no word of a lie maybe 10-15 pieces of shredded cheese… then we were like can we get some more cheese. the worker pulled out a new bin from under the counter and put I SWEAR 2 pieces of shredded cheese and said he had to charge us extra. Now usually i don’t say anything i don’t like awkwardness or confrontation but this was actually insane to me so I actually did say something and was like you put 2 more pieces and then he was like oh and just carried on with the rest of the toppings. He did not charge us extra thank gosh because that was NOT extra that was even a regular amount of cheese. Anyways then we got the new fries they had and i’ll add a photo. There was FIVE WAFFLE FRIES IN THE BOWL… I don’t know if that’s normal but from the pictures being advertised we expected maybe more than 5 fries i don’t know maybe that’s what it normally is like, i don’t know, would love to know if paying 7$ or whatever it was for 5 waffle fries is normal but anyways. We also asked if we could add burrito sauce to the fries and the employee told us no. just “no” there was no explanation just a no. idk but the whole experience was odd. I think I have reviewed maybe 1-2 places ever in my life but i thought this experience was worth writing a review on. Honestly I recommend Fat Bastard Burrito's! Free guac and they aren’t stingy...
Read moreOur family has gone to Mucho Burrito for years and always enjoyed their food and service. However, on the evening of September 4th, 2023, we went to the location in East Gwillimbury, Ontario. The burritos our kids got were fine, but the ones my wife and I got seemed to each contain an entire shaker’s worth of salt. It was nauseating. We could not possibly finish them. I honestly figure somebody sabotaged something because there is no way any cook or chef could possibly taste this and think it was okay. Based on what we each had on our burritos, my wife and I figure the culprit was either the coleslaw, the cooked vegetables, or the avocado lime vinaigrette. I can definitely say the plant-based crumble was horrendously salty, but that wasn’t the only thing, because my wife didn’t get the plant-based crumble, but her burrito was still unedible. We’ve had dozens of burritos from here over the years, but this is the first complaint we’ve ever had. The food is usually great. We tried calling as soon as we figured out something was wrong, but nobody picked up the phone. That’s what led me to writing this review. I just wanted to make sure somebody looks into this issue before this terrific restaurant loses a bunch...
Read moreI bought a burrito bowl in the mall earlier that day for a friend it smelled so good and I had a little bite... later on I decided to go to the East Gwillimbury location on Green Lane on September 26th 2018 at approximately 7 p.m. walked into the place, it was empty, I'm thinking great, I'll be in and out... boy was I ever right, they all saw me come in this young girl was fiddling in the cupboards, this other kid was cleaning the grill. I said hello no one responded. The guy cleaning the grill looks right at me then turned away and kept on cleaning I figured it's probably because he didn't like his job, not sure why else or who knows, maybe he was just having a bad day... After standing there for about 30 seconds with literally no one paying any attention to me, they were literally doing nothing but having a conversation amongst each other, I just walked away dumbfounded. Foods great but if I could have given a half star for customer service I would, at least at that location on that...
