I just want to burst out my disappointment in this location. First, you guys messed up my order twice. The first one i didn’t bother to call but the 2nd one? I did. I ordered a sausage n’ egg meal like last time, but then i received the regular buns instead of the muffins, and then the girl at the drive thru at the time was not even sorry for messing up my order, so i was like drove off because i’m going to be late from my work, and on my way of course i was frustrated and annoyed that you guys messed up my order. I wasn’t able to call in the morning because i don’t have time anymore,that’s why i decided to call when j got off, which is supposed to be valid as far as i know since i called the same day but diff. Time only, and that shouldn’t matter. Because it’s frustating. When i called a punjabi guy (im not being racist here, i just wanna make it clear who answered my call) answered the call saying he is a manager. And i told him what happened, then he said he is sorry for what happened and told me they will replace my meal. And then after few minutes, this store called me again saying he is a SALARY manager, he is a punjabi guy again, he told me that he will replace 2 meals since it happened again. So i said thank you and i appreciate that. I just forgot his name. But he promised me that he will communicate it to his team especially in the morning and he will send me a text which he never did. So i decided to come this morning to claim it. I explained to the girl in the dt what happened, she said she will call the manager and if i call pulled up, and so i did. Now that manager girl who kept on saying the she’s been working there for 28 years which is i don’t care said she can’t give me those 2 meals that they promised me because no communication in your end. It so frustating that, it looks like we are lying or what so ever. I even showed her the call logs on my phone. Like it is not my fault that you guys are not communicating to each other. But you promised a guest these things. And she’s even saying that you got in the morning and you complaint in the afternoon. I even explained to her why. And the way she looked at me as if i was lying? Bro i can buy again if i want too, but this is a guest complaint and you guys are just trying to correct it and that’s how you’re going to interact with me? Read moreI am really disappointed in the food and service we received last night at the 50 ave/gateway A & W. We were there Feb. 17/25 around 7pm. When we walked in it looked as if they were closing as many chairs were standing sideways, there were no customers and all of the soda machines had signs "out of order". We proceeded to order 2 teen burger meals for around $25. The onion rings were undercooked, bland and cold and the teen burgers were also barely room temperature. We wanted to sit by the window so we could watch our dog in car but we were told we could only sit in the centre of the room at the 2 tables that had piles of sand and gravel swept under them by the brooms. At this point i should have asked for a refund and left but we didn't have supper and were really hungry. Also, any time we were speaking to each other the young man stopped what he was doing and asked what we said, which was really weird and inappropriate. The only thing that i liked was the coffee. When i asked for a refill the young man at the counter said I had to pay for another coffee. After spending all that money on a bad meal i was not going to pay for another coffee. I've been a customer at this location for over 10 yrs. but since they either changed staff or ownership? I will not be back anytime soon. There used to be a short little ethnic lady Hispanic or philipino? who worked here who was friendly and served good food. These new staff are too happy to take your money but offer poor service and poor food quality. I felt like a very unwanted inconvenience. Read moreThe food has always been good here however I had a bad experience coming here this week with my children, we drove through the drive thru. There was a homeless man standing by the side of the building. He approached us as we were ordering and asked for us to order him a coffee. He showed me his money and told me he could pay but they wouldn’t let him order because of what he looked like. I ordered his drink with my food and gave it to him for free and he was so grateful he was trying to give me some of his possessions. I told him it’s fine and he went on his way. The entire A&W was East Indian people who I’m sure don’t appreciate being judged by the color of their skin, their very thick accent as we witnessed on the drive thru speaker, etc. So who are these people to then judge someone else based solely on their appearance? This man had more money than he needed for his coffee. He was polite. Just let him order his freaking coffee. As a momma of 4 East Indian children stop making an entire race look bad.
