09/26/23 You're definitely driving by this place and not stopping for sure. It's very dead. 0 customers. I went around 1pm in the afternoon and saw only one customer. This place is ran by a bunch of friendly Filipinos. I only bought a milkshake so I can't give a review for their food. Menu said milkshakes range from $6-$6.50. It would've been nice it it stated why and which ones were more. I ended up paying $7.14 for my milkshake. Portion wise, makes sense, does it taste good? It sure does. I ordered mango and it does have hints of real mango in it and I can taste it. If you have poor straw slurping skills well, this might not be edible for you. My straw ended up getting a bit squished. You really have to suck the life out of this drink that's how thick it is. A little thicker than regular milkshakes but I'd just call it drinkable soft serve ice cream because that's kinda what I felt like I was eating. Service was average, "Hi what do you want/here's your order." I will come back again once in a while. Free car air freshener so can't go wrong with that. I still don't understand how this place is in business. It's s dead and empty the restaurant is spotless clean. I also really love their biodegradable straws, and utensils. This place is a hit or miss, come at your own risk. 🤷♀️
10/02/23 Welp, I tried the food, a poutine and it was certainly made "fresh". I'm too scared to try their other stuff because of the reviews so I'll let others decide on that. Poutine was nothing extraordinary but it was good for me. I bought a fountain drink and tried the lemonades they had. Way too sweet and filled with too much sugar. Better off with water or diet pepsi. Nothing healthy about this place so come here if you want a treat. Pouting was over $8 I just feel like everything is overpriced here and...
Read moreNever Again. There was no one in the lineup. I guess that should have been my first clue. I ordered a caramel mikeshake, a blackberry milkshake, 2 double cheese burgers, and onion rings. The first thing they did after opening the window was apologize for the wait. I said no problem. I didn't even notice which tells me they are just used to apologizing. Then I got it with the amount of time it took to get the food even though it was well past the lunch rush. There was one car parked in front of me and was still there when I left. I saw 3 employees inside and it seemed like it was everyone's first day as they were tripping over each other. The woman waiting for her food at the counter had a scowl on her face. If I was eating in the restaurant, I would have asked for new milkshakes. There was only enough "flavour" to add color so basically I had light purple vanilla soft ice cream. The patties had a spongey texture and little flavour. There was so much ketchup on both burgers that the wrapper was soaked in it so it ripped when I tried to hold the burger in the wrapper. I couldn't eat many onion rings because the coating of grease in my mouth grossed me out. Granted I didn't ask but no napkins were provided. I was so excited because I had never been there before and now it's just regret. I apologized to my friend after I asked him if he liked his food and he said no. He said his milkshake didnt have any flavour either. I will never go back and I will detour people from going there. Definitely not worth the $6.80 for a barely medium soft serve. I'm so...
Read moreThe staff is great, the building is new, the drive-thru and everything works as it should... but the food is awful. And that's NOT a reflection of the staff or management, it's just that the product they serve isn't good. Burger patties are dry, flavorless, and then doused in sauce to make it a sloppy mess. The fries are limp, soggy, and dry, which is a shame because they're cut from fresh potatoes. The shakes are decent. Onion rings are a standard product (meaning it's no different than a Harveys, DQ or Burger Baron). BUT... everyone knows this already... The stop over at Peter's in Red Deer or Calgary is just a novelty. Those locations can get by without repeat local customers, as visitors will stop in during a road trip to the mountains. But this Edmonton location has to rely on repeat local customers, and they won't get that, given the product they serve. It's a shame; when it first opened, Calgary Trail was backed up with major traffic as people wanted to try Peter's. Now, I had no issues getting in, with only two cars in the parking lot, and a wide open drive-thru with no cars ahead or behind me. And it's no mystery why: the food isn't good. I feel terrible for whoever the owner is, of this Edmonton location. I feel like the poor fellow has been swindled into opening this place, because it hasn't been set up...
