My first experience at Cask and Barrel with my friends was so memorable I will definitely come back with more memories. The atmosphere was great I went on a night when the Good Vibes event was being held. Local DJs showcased their talent, the music was a very good vibe. The food was special because it was made with love. When food tastes good you know it was made with love. Cask and Barrelās Greek salad made me fall in love with cherry tomatoes. They choose the best ingredients on the market and I can tell because their cherry tomatoes are the best Iāve ever had. They are strawberries in disguise! Because they taste exactly like that. Every dish was perfected dressed with mouthwatering sauces or dressings. I highly recommend the Greek salad and Penne Jambalaya! The prices are reasonable for what you get. The flavours, portions and presentation are there. Not only was all the food made with love but it was also served with love. David, our server, was an unforgettable star. He made my friends and I feel welcomed, well looked after and entertained with his friendly, charismatic and passionate service. The fact that he was serving alone on a busy night and didnāt show one ounce that he was stressed is profoundly commendable. He kept his cool, good vibes, smile and friendly service throughout our stay. It goes to show just how much of a natural he is at what he does. He always made time to check in with our table and always made a friendly and funny memorable way to converse with us each time. When we ordered things that werenāt available at the time he made sure to recommend a alternative that still would satisfy our craving. He really cared about getting things right. His efforts, passion for what he does and his good vibes/character make David standout he is a gift to Cask and Barrel and to the hospitality industry. He is an asset. A good vibe. Cheers David and Cask and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came here for dinner with a group of 8, and we all had probably the worst restaurant experience. Our waitress, Susan, was making table side smoked old fashioned and that's where the night took a turn. We watched her have at least 4 drinks and then she sat at a booth with other customers (we assume friends) while we sat waiting for food/drinks. She was with them for at least half an hour while multiple customers were making their own drinks at the station while she coached them. Going off how she was acting through out the night she definitely wasn't sober. The other worker, a gentleman with a ponytail, did his best to tend to the entire restaurant by himself but overall wasn't a good experience. The atmosphere was like we were at someone's house party and were a nuisance to be served. It took a significantly long time to get any food or drink refills and probably half hour to get our bills. Would not recommend coming here, the food was decent but not worth the awkward embarrassment to be in an establishment that has workers acting that way. To end on a positive note they did have NASA TV on which was pretty interesting that that's...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere were four of us, and there was something wrong with each of our meals: they forgot the dressing for two salads, two orders were wrong (wanted meat loaf paninis, got meat ball paninis), and one panini was super late due to a kitchen mix up. The paninis were generally dry, and did not include the ingredients advertised in the menu (e.g., the garden panini was supposed to have olive tapenade on it, but didn't).
The waitress was nice, but ditzy, and blamed some of the problems on a new chef. The kitchen offered a small discount for the panini mix up, but the bill was still quite expensive, and there was a mix up with our bills. Definitely disappointed by this meal. Probably will not be back.
Also, their drink discount of half off the second shot of a double strength drink was...
