To be honest, this is one of those places where it's difficult to evaluate. Maybe legitimate Korean street food is like this, but maybe it's not.

The kimbap ($7.50) was pretty good; this was mainly because of the rice to filling ratio. Simple ingredients, and difficult to mess up. The mozzarella cheese corn dog ($6.50) was underwhelming. At first, it tastes like a normal corn dog, but once you get to the cheese, it was similar to stuffing a Kraft Single into a corn dog and deep frying it. I'm not sure if that's considered, "street" but it would've been great to see a more authentic piece of mozzarella (especially if you want that classic cheese string pull)! The fries were pretty good ($6.50); the added ground beef and kimchee made all the difference. The tteok-bokki had fish cakes, rice cakes, and cheese ($7.50). It's a quick snack, but the flavor is lacking -- it's just spicy. Finally, the cinnamon pastry dessert ($3.50) wasn't too bad, but we would probably wouldn't get it again -- it was just too sweet for our liking.

Overall, for the quality and small portions, it would've been nice to see a cheaper price point. If the quality were to improve, it may be a place we'd consider...

Update May 2022 Made an online order for bulgogi and seasoned chicken bites. When I got home, realized I got fries instead of chicken. I called the restaurant to advise them of the mistake. We looked over the email and there was a mistake that said seasoned chicken bites, but preparation stated fries, so I received the fries instead of chicken. I asked for the problem to be fixed since it's not what I ordered. They said they would pass it on to the manager and that I'm stuck with the fries, which costs much less than the chicken I ordered. No discount or anything offered to fix the error. I am definitely not happy as this is my go to place for a quick bite. Guess it's time to find somewhere new.

This place has really tasty food. Tried the pork belly, which normally, I would never try. The sauce on it was amazing and it tasted great. Had the Bulgogi with the spicy sauce and it was delicious. The staff were super friendly. I would highly recommend this place if you are wanting to try something different and delicious! Will be going back to try more items...

We went to gangnam for the first time yesterday . I really wanted to try there corn dogs, they were super busy we went around 7pm but they kept up and the customer service is awesome. There was one girl working upfront taking orders, and packing , then another gentleman came from the back and started helping once it started to get busier started moving faster, I didn’t see anyone complain but saw so impatient ppl. Give these guys a break there busy and probably hungry too , you see them going as fast as they can , don’t go up there and tell them your order number, that’s what there doing getting your order and will call your number leave them to do what they do best.skip and people coming in also they were busy . We ordered 4 corndogs waited outside politely and omg those corndogs were the best I ever had in my life anywhere . Thank you gangnam staff for making my night so happy and joyfull . You guys do it the best I want more already those corn dogs are crack . You guys awesome . I’m telling everyone how great you guys are.

Loved my...

I would have given a much higher review, but their hotteok was really bad. Hotteok is supposed to be yeasty and pressed thin, with a good ratio of cinnamon sugar to the outside. It's supposed to be served fresh. The hotteok my friend ordered was very thick and bready. It was more like a cake, and made me wonder if it was made with yeast, or if it was made with baking power/soda because it's faster. It was very oily, and there was hardly any cinnamon sugar. It is definitely not worth it at $3.50 per piece. The dumplings with deokkbokki sauce tasted a bit weird, like it was cooked in old oil or something. If you eat it with the sauce, you won't notice, but if you bite into a part of one that doesn't have sauce on it, you will notice the bad oil taste. The hot dogs are very good, though. There is an impressive amount of cheese inside the hot dog. The hot dog is the only thing I would get again at this place.

The spicy rice cake w/ cheese and the hot bar (fish cake) were delicious. Unfortunately, the same could not be said about the other items ordered. The quantity of the Oden was small, and the quality was the same as from a frozen package. A bad value and would not recommend. The "spicy" pork belly was sweet, few in quantity, and the quality of meat was low. Another bad value that cannot be recommended. The kimbap was the least exceptional of the dishes. Very small in quantity, and the quality was even lower. Highly do not recommend. As mentioned before, the spicy rice cake w/ cheese is fantastic. Its worth coming here just for that item alone. Hot bar is good with the extra spicy sauce. Overall, the dishes are highly inconsistent in quality. For the price, the quantity is too slim and the service unfriendly. Worth one visit just for the spicy rice cake.

My son was hungry for Korean food for dinner and when I used the Google maps and it appeared the name Gangnam sounded lijke the Gangnam Style song. Hmm, looking at the reviews and pictures interest me and this is what Im looking for street food style! We quickly drove to the place to give it a try. The place was new and a bit busy but we are able to get some seats. The order was fast and we liked the food. The prices are not expensive. I like the pork belly skewers and the soup. I also tried the corn dog which is not bad. They also have some mini food snacks to go e.g. Cup Soups and korean drinks in tetra packs. I tried the Melon drink and I really liked it. I will definitely come back to this place.
