I've been a longtime customer and supporter of KB&Co, regularly visiting the downtown Edmonton, North Edmonton, and St. Albert locations. Unfortunately, I’ve yet to receive the same level of service or product quality at the 124th Street location.
Each time I visit, there’s typically a delay before anyone greets me. On several occasions, I’ve had to step outside and re-enter just to trigger the door chime and alert the staff.
Today, it took over 40 minutes to receive a wrap and salad, despite there being no other customers ahead of me. While the staff did apologize, this has been a recurring issue over the past couple of months. Additionally, the salad had very little dressing, and the wrap ingredients didn’t meet the standard I’ve come to expect from KB&Co.
I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that it highlights an opportunity for improvement. It’s great to have a healthy, fast-casual option in the area, and I’d love to continue supporting the business if enhancements are made to the service and food quality at this...
Read moreI really like the idea of this place and I have had good experiences at other locations. However, recently I got the Thai bowl and a Cookies and Cream Smoothie. The smoothie was okay, a bit chalky but not bad. But I definitely would not recommend the Thai bowl. It was literally 90% romaine lettuce with zero flavour. There were a few other veggies and maybe a tablespoon of rice with no coconut flavour for $17. I pulled out a bunch of romaine and still felt like I was just eating a head of romaine lettuce. Very disappointing for how much it costed. I let management know and they pretty much said that they make their sauce from scratch and use local ingredients so that is why it is so expensive, but I still feel it is a rip off. Not a satisfying or filling meal at all.
Edit: in response to the owner’s response. My bowl was obviously made wrong then because it was 90% romaine. I...
Read moreI used to frequent the 104 st location back when they put bean chips in the chipotle taco wrap and it was just SO good. The oatmeal sandwich cookie thing was also great. Anyways, I was excited to check out this new location but it was such a bummer.
I grabbed a chipotle wrap from the fridge, which was smaller than the ones made-to-order (still $16.50 I think) and came in a hard, strange wrap (maybe gluten free?) with a tiny salad on the side. The sandwich cookie (over $4 I think!) was inedible - it was mushy and tasted like pure baking soda. I had to spit it out and into the trash it went with most of the sad wrap.
The smoothies they make fresh look really nice but based on my experience with the food I won’t be back.
Edit: Just a heads up the “opportunity to make it right” is an email back thanking you for feedback, so don’t bother if you have a...
