OCHA + BOBA — Restaurant in Edmonton

Been a long time customer here but I won't be returning after my experience today. Ordered a roasted brown sugar milk tea with 30% sugar. The cashier let me know that sugar isn't customizable with the brown sugar pearls and there was a bit of confusion there. No big deal, but when I left, I realized they gave me regular tea instead of roasted tea. My partner went back in to explain, and the other cashier (I always see her here so maybe a manager) absolutely BERATED them and went off about how "we always read back the order so it's your fault if it's wrong. Now it's a loss for us because you didn't listen." We didn't get a chance to explain that the order was never read back to me because of the brown sugar confusion.

I understand being frustrated, but to take it out on my partner and make us feel bad for asking for the drinks we ordered was so unnecessary and rude. We weren't upset when we went back in to ask for a remake, and the male cashier that took the order definitely seemed new and a bit frazzled. He never read the order back to me, which the other cashier would have known if she let us explain instead of cutting us off every two seconds and shaming us in front of the entire store. It's just bubble tea. Is that really something to be so nasty over?

I have been a customer to this specific location nearly 20 times and I almost always have a great experience! all employees are friendly and attentive and the roasted milk tea is consistently amazing. the tapioca made here is one of the best in the city because it is not over cooked or reheated. my very first issue ive ever had with my bubble tea here was today and that is because I was given an avocado fruit smoothie that lacks real avocado flavour. this smoothie I bought tastes mostly like condensed milk and I don't remember it ever being like this, so it may just be a fluke or even a new recipe. if it's a new recipe, I hope you decide to change it back as I may have to stop ordering avocado smoothies here which may in turn coerce me to just go somewhere else if I ever have company who wants anything other than milk tea! your hazelnut smoothie also lacks that same kind of indepth flavour and i hope this isnt the case for everything else on your menu other than milk tea. thank you for being great to me so far, and I hope this review can help you improve in the future :)

I am regular customer and Today I ordered taro boba tea with no ice, 75% sugar and boba but I noticed the guy named Matt who made my drink, added ice… completed the drink, pour it in large cup then removed ice furthermore added water at the end to fill the gap before sealing

I am highly disappointed that the order was tricked even when we are clear with our instructions

My order was placed today, Feb 16 around 8:30pm and it’s shame!!!!

I didn’t bring it right away but ensured to ask lady who took my ordered for the name of guy in green sweatshirt so that I can raise this concern on the forum instead expressing my frustration in front of others to give wrong impression to other customer waiting in queue but this is something I sincerely do not appreciate and its shame that integrity and loyalty practices followed by employee…. Whosoever is the manager/owner needs to understand we pay for quality and not quantity

I would have appreciated less boba tea than someone adding quarter water to fill the gap after removing ice which at first place is against my order instructions
