This was our first time at Wayback burgers. We walked in and the place was very clean and tidy, the staff was very friendly and their uniforms also very clean. I was impressed with the cleanliness and crispness of the theme of this restaurant. Ordering was very easy and we had many choices to explore for our meal. We decided to go with the Burger menu, fries and shake. The burgers were good and I was informed that they were out of burger buns so that they exchanged them with their sub buns which were grilled and were quite tasty. The pumpkin caramel shake was very tasty and I would enjoy to have that again. The fries weren't bad but could have been cooked a little bit more crispy as the sauce that is added does make them soggy and when you try to grab the fries they do limp when you pick them up but did taste good. All in all it was a good meal and the staff were very friendly and courteous. They would ask customers how their meal was showing that they cared for their diners. The value for the meal was very reasonable considering the time and service and care for each meal and I would recommend Wayback burgers to other people. I would like to visit Wayback burgers again and at that time update the review to give a more in-depth review to be fair since some items were not in stock and they had to augment which did show that they tried to what they could with the stock they had which is commendable. Good job guys and we look forward to coming back again. I wanted to give four and a half Stars but unfortunately it doesn't allow so was it closer to five star or four star I would have to say four but I believe my next visit it will change.

A very average experience. I ordered the double bacon it came with two patties cheese and bacon. The bacon was very thin and I could barely taste it. Very little attention to detail as seen in the picture tomato ends served on my burger. It needed a sauce and seasoning as it was rather bland tasting heavily of mustard and onion. It was not bad just very average. The poutine didn't have enough gravy as the bottom half of the fries were completely dry. The gravy just had that salty from a can flavor and had a number of congealed clumps of gravy. The onion rings were very good for sure the highlight. I didn't try the steakhouse burger pictured my wife says it was fine but could use more onion staws. Service was quick for a takeout order but it was not busy. It was a bit odd as I was offered a dipping sauce for the onion rings and shown my options on the menu board. It wasn't mentioned by the staff member or the menu that I would be charge but I was charged 75 cents. They did refund this when I brought it to there attention. I don't know if this was worth mentioning but it didn't sit right with me. In the world of fast casual burgers I prefer FatBurger or Five Guys for food, service and value. 2.5/5 rounded to 3

Clean, bright, multiple seating options and a comfortable amount of space. The menu is located at the entrance so you can look at it without having to be in line, I liked that design feature. I ordered the signature classic burger, fries, and tossed salad. Seemed like a good starting point. The burger patties tasted great, you can tell they are fresh and it makes a huge difference. The bun was okay, didn't seem overly remarkable. Same with the fries. Not outright bad, just bland and unremarkable. Very similar to Boston Pizza fries, actually. The salad was surprisingly good in terms of value. The tomatoes were cut into large wedges and the onions were just big slices, so maybe a little awkward to eat. The wait times seemed to be quite long for a burger place. There appeared to be two cooks and two other employees that alternated duties: Taking customer orders, handing out delivery orders, making milkshakes, cleaning tables, and doing dishes. I would say the kitchen probably needed one additional person during the rush to assist the other two and do the milkshakes. I noticed that almost everyone was ordering milkshakes. So one person was bogged down making them while 5-6 people were waiting to order.

I would like to start by saying that I understand that the location just recently opened and there would be bumps along the way.

However, what we experienced on Friday February 12 was more like a mountain rather than a bump.

Below is a timeline of what exactly occurred.

At 6:01 pm I placed our order online for pick up. I received an email indicating that the order would be ready at 6:16 pm and to arrive 2 minutes prior to the pick it up time.

We arrived at 6:18 pm and after waiting close to 10 minutes my sister had to go up to the counter to find out the status of our order. At that time she was told the order wouldn't be ready for one hour.

Even though we were hungry and upset, we chose to give them the benefit of the doubt as we knew they may be busy.

After running another errand, we returned to the restaurant at 7:06 pm to check the status of our order. My sister was told our food would be ready in 20 minutes.

After going up to the counter a few more times, the order was finally received at 7:40 pm.

Upon returning to the vehicle we double checked our order. At this time it was discovered that we only received 3 of our 6 side dishes.

My sister had to go back into the restaurant to get the 3 side dishes that were missed. This took approximately another 10 minutes.

During our wait time, we saw at least 8 delivery drivers come in and pick up orders. Not sure if their orders were priority or they waited just like the rest of the customers in the restaurant.

At this time we were still giving them the benefit of the doubt and were hoping the food was so good we would ignore how long it took to get the food. Unfortunately, this was not the case.

When we finally sat down to eat at 8 pm we had to open every burger and side dish to figure out who's was who's as nothing was labeled. The burger were lukewarm and the side dishes we soggy and looked like they were undercooked.

Also, two of the burgers I ordered was missing the bacon that I paid extra for. One burger was missing at least two condiments. As well, we did not receive the dip for the House-Made chips. Good thing I didn't pay for them.

The staff did apologize, however, it didn't really seem sincere. There was not offer of a discount or even a simply drink while waiting.

At this time would I recommend anyone to go here, heck no.

The restaurant may want to visit the information on their website about the order being ready in 15 minutes as this is not even close to being accurate.

Attached is a picture of the Rodeo Burger that was pink and the onions are indescribable. The fries were soggy and the onion rings didn't look like onion rings.

In the end, the leftover O'Fries were thrown in the garbage as no one wanted...

Tried out this brand new location of Wayback Burgers on Sunday, February 14th and we were impressed!

I read the comments on Facebook, and the wait times were up to and over an hour, so we ordered WAY ahead. We did use a third party ordering site and placed our order at 2pm for a 5:45pm pickup. You can order from the Wayback site directly which I would encourage you to do so. I'm not sure if their site allows you to pre-order ahead of time though.

When I arrived at 5:45, the restaurant was full of people waiting for their meals, and I did overhear the cashier telling customers it was a good 45 minute wait. I was able to pick up my order within a few minutes and I was super happy we thought to order ahead of time.

Our order was the Double Bacon burger with fries, the Cheeeezy Burger with onion rings, a Cookies & Cream milkshake and a Cafe Mocha milkshake. The cost of our order was $37.32.

When I got home, our burgers and fries were still fairly warm. The Bacon burger comes with cheese and obviously bacon (my spouse didn't want any other sauces or veg). He did say there was lots of bacon, but not enough cheese. He had a decent amount of fries in his order and he liked the Cookies and cream milkshake as well.

I had the Cheeezy burger and really liked it. The patties were a fair size (2 patties) and there was lots of cheese. It comes plain (just cheese), so next time I would add on some sauces. I didn't really like the onion rings because the breading wasn't flavorful and the rings were too thick. I had asked for them to be extra crispy, but they were still pretty soggy. I put them in our air fryer for 10 minutes and that worked well. I still didn't like the flavor and just wouldn't order them the next time. I'll probably try the chips instead. My Cafe Mocha milkshake was good too. Nothing crazy about it, but I would have it again or try another one.

Overall our food and pick up experience was really good and we'll be back!

The one little issue I had is that the milkshake cups don't fit in the take out cup holder properly and they spilled over on my car seats. I did send an email to the owner/manager and am waiting to hear back. Hopefully they'll find a better holder for those cups. This won't deter us from going there again. We just know now, not to not use those holders.

We can't wait to go back and try something else...
